Sepsis is a very serious and sometimes life-threatening systemic infection. In the past year we have seen an increase in patients presenting with possible (and subsequently diagnosed) sepsis.
If you have any concerns about possible infection in your toes, feet or lower limbs please don’t delay in seeing a medical professional.
If you feel you have signs of sepsis (below) and are not able to see your GP for several weeks, don’t delay.. please call 111 or go to an A&E department.
A registered podiatrist is always looking for signs of infection and/or sepsis when they see you, if you would like to have your nails and skin checked and treated please call to book an appointment
