We are sad to share that as a result of the reductions recently announced by The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office that Motivation's grant to work with disabled children over the next three years has been cancelled.

Its cancellation means that many children with a disability in Uganda will now miss opportunities for independence, education and play, and miss access to healthcare and other social services.

Our Uganda team are working to develop alternative plans so that we can continue to support disabled children, adults and their wider community across Uganda, for which we will be seeking funding from other sources.

The Afghan women's wheelchair basketball team are achieving incredible things in sport. But they're also smashing through stereotypes around gender and disability.

We love seeing them featured by Nike over on Instagram. And we could not be prouder that our Multisport wheelchairs have enabled these incredible women to access sport, connect with each other and build skills that they've taken to international competitions.

Afghanistan’s female wheelchair basketball team are doing some incredible things - featured here by Nike on Instagram. From challenging stereotypes around gender and disability, to tearing up the basketball court and reaching Paralympic level. They are pretty amazing women.

We're also bursting with pride to see our Multisport wheelchairs in action. When we send them out to all corners of the world, we know that they can help people to change their lives through sport. Whether that's rebuilding communities after war, supporting someone's rehabilitation or giving them a chance to connect with a new community.

But it's rare that we see them featured by huge brands like Nike, who have the reach to showcase the power of inclusion.

We're pretty sure that these images were taken at the International Committee of the Red Cross Kabul facility, where they are meeting the needs of an increasing population of disabled people. So proud that they choose our wheelchairs to help them in this important, empowering work.

The impact of inclusive sports can’t be underestimated. Thanks to some amazing organisations, that impact goes far beyond fitness and entertainment.

As we approach the end of this challenging year, we want to say thanks for all your support throughout 2020.

We have been so heartened by our community and the ways in which you have rallied around us. Your ongoing commitment to our work has given us such inspiration. Together, we've overcome many obstacles.

We wish you a peaceful end to 2020. May it be filled with hope - and greater opportunities of inclusion for all.
