Last week, 37 members of our team completed the Tier 2 Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism over three busy and inspiring days.

This important training helps health and social care staff better understand the needs of people with learning disabilities and autistic people, ensuring the care and support we provide is more informed, compassionate and person-centred.

A huge thank you to our fantastic trainers – Esther, Remi and Jon from 1st Stop Training – for delivering such engaging and thought-provoking sessions. Your knowledge, passion and real-life insights made the training incredibly valuable for our team.

Finding the right support for a child with additional needs can feel overwhelming. At Bluebird Care South Gloucestershire, we provide specialist children’s services that support young people with complex needs — both at home and in educational settings.

Our educational enablers are highly trained care professionals who support children in school with:

• Personal care
• PEG feeding & medication
• Seizure management
• Mobility & hoisting
• Complex health needs
• Emotional reassurance

This allows teachers to focus on teaching, while we ensure each child’s health, dignity and safety are fully supported.
