Thank you to all the owners and dogs that came along to the Celestine Dog Training Canine Massage Clinic yesterday. Another very busy day so I didn’t get chance to get photos of everyone so I’ll just leave these two handsome chaps here.

As it happens, little Dominic had a great Easter weekend at the Warrior Agility Show winning up to Grade 6 and winning the Superstars Final! I’ll be sharing a few other client success stories over the coming days too. So many had such great weekends! 🥇🥈🥉🏆

It was a sad start to the week with the loss of gorgeous Star. Whilst I hadn’t massaged Star for a while now since his agility retirement, he was always on hand to oversee proceedings whilst I massaged his brothers, ensuring they behaved as they should! He really was such a super Star in name and nature and will leave a huge hole.

This was a photo I found of him with his brother Spy some years ago ready and waiting for their massages, and the other one, courtesy of his owners, is him just looking stunningly handsome!

Have admired this handsome boy for many years and this week I got the pleasure of massaging him to help with an ongoing foreleg lameness he has been suffering. He used to be friends with my Lexi and still often looks for her up the driveway according to his owner.

We had lots of kisses and a very waggy tail throughout plus a little bit of bribery with sausage and cheese, obviously. I’ll be seeing him again next week for a follow up and hopefully putting in to place a maintenance plan for him.

Back to reality with a bang this week with two 12 hour days straight off the bat. Got to see these two gorgeous pups this morning though! Both do canicross running with their human so Cora had her routine maintenance massage and Diesel had his first experience of canine massage today! I think it’s safe to say they both had a lovely time, especially with their peanut butter, and trying to sneak in kisses and cuddles whenever possible! ❤️

And that’s a wrap for another year! Thank you as always to all of my gorgeous pups and their owners for continuing to support my business. I appreciate every single one of you!

I will be taking some well needed time off over the Christmas break and will be back from the 6th of January.

Huge congratulations to Murphy and Vicky who competed in the Large ABC (anything but collies) KC Agility Stakes at London International Horse Show yesterday and came second in the jumping and second in the agility final!! The gorgeous Ted looking rather disappointed that his massage is over! 😍 Whilst he looks like butter wouldn’t melt, he definitely puts his mum through the mill with a constant stream of what can only be described as ‘spaniel related’ injuries! 😂 He’s worth it though!

Some more sad news this week. Another of my long term dogs, lovely Mango, passed away on Monday. I’ve been massaging Mango on a near monthly basis for the last 7 years. She had such a big character for such a little one and never failed to make me smile. She was also the first, and as it stands, the only dog I have ever massaged on the ironing board! (It’s where she was used to being groomed ☺️). Sleep tight now Mango, you will be greatly missed. ❤️🌈

Sleep tight, gorgeous Harley. I know you're not supposed to have favourites, but there are some dogs you come across in life and work that just hit differently. Harley was one of those dogs, from the very first time I met her. I will miss the big smiley greeting at the door, quickly followed by her run down the corridor to find a soft toy to present to me, and the kisses, oh those kisses... even the fishy ones! Harley always had two frozen food treats to keep her settled and occupied during her massage and she knew this, incessantly barking for the first as soon as I was in the house, and resuming the barking as soon as she had finished the first one. Once the second one was complete, the massage was also to be complete and then the kisses could commence! 🥰 She didn't have the easiest of rides health wise over the years, no more so than these last few months, but she was an absolute warrior. Run free now Harley, it was my absolute pleasure to know you. ❤️🌈

I think poor Betty was exhausted for her massage this week after she had been made to stand up for a whole hour when her owner accidentally shut her out in the garden. And it was raining! 😱 If you know Greyhounds, you’ll know they’re the master of looks that can kill! And needless to say, she hasn’t spoken to her owner since. 😂 I mean, she could have barked to be let back in, but that would’ve been too much effort, the standing up alone was taking it out of her!

Little Niky being a little superstar again today. He suffers with Carpal Valgus which is where the forelimb deviates outward from its normal alignment at the point of the wrist. He also has an occasional hindlimb skip and hip pain so he has regular massage to support his mobility as he gets older.

So my 3 day residency at Celestine Dog Training this month is now complete! 😂 Thank you to all the owners and dogs that came along to each day, they ran like clockwork.

It was super busy at each clinic so I didn’t have time to take photos during the first two clinic days, so here are a few from today. Prize goes to Belle for her post massage stupor back at home! 😂 She’s been struggling after ‘holidaying a bit too hard’ last week but is now feeling much happier and more comfortable after her massage. ❤️

I shall be liaising with Lorraine to get the next dates in the diary for October or November, so we’ll keep you posted on those once we’ve sorted them.
