🩺 Management of misplaced filler

This patient presented with previously placed chin filler from another practitioner, with evidence of:
• Misplacement
• Migration
• Superficial product
• Excess volume affecting contour and obscured projection
💉 Why hyaluronidase (Hyalase)?
Hyaluronidase is an enzyme used to selectively break down hyaluronic acid–based dermal fillers. When administered appropriately, it allows for controlled dissolution of unwanted or poorly integrated filler, restoring baseline anatomy.
⏳ Why we wait at least 2 weeks before re-filling
A minimum two-week interval is clinically important to:
✔️ Allow post-dissolve inflammation and oedema to resolve
✔️ Permit tissue recovery
✔️ Allow the body to naturally replenish its own hyaluronic acid
✔️ Accurately reassess true anatomical structure and volume deficit
💉 Re-treatment (if indicated)
Once tissues have stabilised, filler can be reintroduced conservatively and anatomically to achieve:
• Improved contour and projection
• More predictable outcomes

Great to see the FDA changing the narrative!

For over 20 years, women have been told to fear hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
We were warned of cancer, clots, strokes. Labels carried scary black-box warnings. Millions of women suffered through menopause symptoms, bone loss, heart risk and more — because of overstated fears.

But here’s the truth emerging today with a statement released from the FDA commissioner.

✅ When started within 10 years of menopause, HRT can reduce heart disease, protect bones, ease symptoms, and improve quality of life.

✅ Risks are far lower than once claimed, especially with modern, body-identical hormones and safer delivery methods (like patches and vaginal estrogen).

SMOOTH FOREHEAD & EYE BROW LIFT …?

Recent published research by anatomist Professor Cotofana’s, demonstrates and confirms what I discuss with you during every consultation.

👉 Treating the forehead to “remove” all dynamic lines will drop the brows.
👉 Lifting the brows means avoiding forehead injections.

Anatomy Rules:

brow position is a balance of competing muscles:

Frontalis (forehead) lifts the entire brow area.

Glabella (frown) and parts of the orbicularis (eyes) pull down the eyebrows

When you inject toxin across the entire forehead, you paralyse the frontalis, removing your primary lift muscle. Without any lifting force, the brow can’t rise, even if other muscles are relaxed.

THE BOTTOM LINE : you cannot have a smooth fully treated forehead AND lifted brows.
You have to choose:
