Clinical training - medications, medical conditions.

The monitor doesn’t always tell us what we need to know but usually tells us there’s something wrong.

What could be wrong here, what medications may be needed. What other information is needed to make an action.

Using medication is usually a technician minimum skill to administer IM injection in an ambulance setting. Abroad you may require one of your team to have some advance skills.

We don’t just do med training. We train for real time situations.

Do you know where your spare wheel is (do you have one), it took some of our students to find the wheel changing kit around 25 minutes.

When you get in a car (mostly abroad in a differ country) do you know what to do if you have a puncture, where the kit is, where the first aid kit is ?

Be prepared, have a checklist, process.

First aid at work - 3 days in classroom (or preferably and good for businesses 2 days in classroom with 1 day online).

On this course we trained our long standing clients at a major hotel chain. We must ensure we cover all eventualities (even those with low chance) - major trauma assessments.

Packaged - what does this mean?

For paramedics - EMT’S or remote medics it usually means getting the patient ready to move (this could mean a vehicle, camel, horse, ambulance).

We always ‘package’ our patients in the best way to predict if they get worse or we are able to manage them on route as best as possible and don’t miss any injuries from our surveys.

This could be 10 minutes or 2/3 hours so need to do it comprehensively.

Snake bite - how would you mange it ?

Sure there’s lots of considerations including what snake, which country you are in, how deadly they are, is there any anti-venom nearby ?

The best option is always preventative - try to close tent/hut doors, close your boots, do regular and procedural checks.

We always try to put as realistic as possible scenarios relevant to your requirements.
