🪔 FIRE — Diwali Reflection
🪔 Diwali reminds me that even the hardest year
can become its own festival of light. 💫
🔥 Sometimes the fires that test us
are the very ones that reveal our strength. ✨
I’ve walked through fire this past year —
one of the hardest of my life.
There are moments when everything changes in an instant,
when you find yourself standing naked on the edge,
unsure if you’ll make it through.
The only thing that carried me
was the inner flame that’s been quietly burning all along —
faith, practice, and a strength built over years
of showing up to life.
I had to draw on everything I’ve embodied,
not just through thirty years of yoga sādhanā
and devotional practices,
but through every experience that’s shaped me —
especially through dark and difficult times.
Every breath, every prayer, every lesson in trust
became the ground beneath my feet.
The beauty of fire is that it transforms.
It burns away the layers we’ve outgrown —
the shell that’s become too tight
for the spirit to breathe.
Sometimes the fire burns for a long time —
it’s not easy,
but looking back, we see we were being refined
in ways we couldn’t yet understand.
When the fire finally settles,
I can’t claim purity —
only that something deep inside is changing.
I’m not who I was a year ago.
It’s been the hardest year of my life,
yet somewhere beneath it all,
something beautiful has quietly taken root.
Grace, I’ve learned, comes in many forms.
When life feels out of our control,
all we truly have is
trust, faith, and surrender.
🪔
Wishing everyone a very Happy Diwali
filled with shining light to guide you, ✨💫✨
quiet strength,
and faith that carries you through the dark and difficult times.
💫✨💫 The light always returns —
sometimes even brighter than before. 💫✨💫
