Let's let go of the winter and the year behind us. Lets be free of all that stuff, if only for a couple of hours. Let's move into the internal organs before finding complete stillness and rest in body and mind, allowing ourselves to release stress, relax and renew, ready for Spring.

Luscious spring smoothie recipe with the usual pre workshop blurb.

NEW Pelvis, Core & Pelvic Floor Course - starting Wednesday 3rd February on Zoom.
Don't leave it until it's too late to understand this key area, a place of mystery and taboo to many of us.
Is your pelvic floor hypertonic or hypotonic? Do you need to strengthen, stabilise or release your pelvic floor muscles? Should you even be doing Kegels? Because not everyone should!
The pelvic floor muscles are so important but aside from the (mostly unhelpful) cue 'engage them as if you're holding your urine stream' we largely ignore them... until something goes wrong.
At some point in their lifetime most women will experience some kind of pelvic floor issues, - "Pelvic floor problems are a silent epidemic - up to 20-30% of women are affected by a prolapse, and many more experience general pelvic floor problems" (UCH London, Nov 2015)
In this workshop we will explore the anatomy of the pelvic floor muscles, explore the muscles of the pelvic floor and how we can best work with our own unique pelvic floor muscles to best serve us. Expect breathing exercises, stregthening, stretching and stabilising, so you can be equipped to use the tools that best serve you.
I am excited to share knowledge in this interesting exploration of our bodies.

Oh look! Some good news. Coffee is good for us - either that or the gossiping that comes with a cup 😉.

In the past, coffee was associated with increased health risks. But research from the last decade finds that drinking coffee may actually benefit your health.

This is interesting, but apparently busy people are happy people - whether the busy stuff is purposeful or not. Stay busy, stay happy.

I have a list as long as a long list to get on with, so am relishing the spare time I have in lock down to catch up. Busy me = happy me. Expect to see a more organised me in the future, (when pigs take to the air.)

Too little, and people tend to get stressed. Too much, and people tend to feel idle.

Really looking forward to the last Hatha Yoga session in the studio before lock down is once again upon us. What a beautiful morning as the last to enjoy before we isolate - is Mother Nature trying to tell us something??

Goodness another lockdown to look forward to and Brexit, what a delightful end to a tumultuous year. The stars will turn in our favour in 2021, astrology tells me so, so hang in there beauties.

If you feel comfortable doing so, studio classes will run up until Wednesday, so Wednesday morning will go ahead and any private sessions on Wednesday. If you do not feel comfortable keeping your studio booking please let me know, I totally understand if you do not wish to attend. Please follow the studio rules as set out in the email confirmation, e.g. facemasks, sanitiser.

From Thursday we will revert to Zoom only. I will be adding some extra sessions to the Zoom schedule so keep an eye out for those. A Wednesday evening session and also a pregnancy session on Thursday.

Also let me know if you would like tarot cards read. I've been divining life advice with the cards since I was about 14, and have picked them up quite regularly over the last few months. Any readings by donation which will go to a local animal charity.

Hang in there lovelies, explore within, find your strength and we will come out of this like a phoenix from the flames. Look after yourself, take care and see you on the other side.

I'll leave you with this gem of an article.

Modern science lets us understand the workings of those yoga methods that have become the test of time, and help us relieve anxiety and relax
