πŸ’Š Let’s reduce medicines waste – together! πŸ’Š

The NHS spends an estimated Β£300m on unused medicines each year. We need your help to reduce this.

Every pound spent on wasted medicines is a pound less than can be spent on delivering NHS services to patients.

If you take regular medication, there are simple steps you can take to help:

βœ… Plan ahead – check what you already have before reordering
βœ… Only order what you need
βœ… Check your medicines before leaving the pharmacy – they can’t be reused once you leave

Every prescription counts – let’s make sure nothing goes to waste.

ROADWORKS REMINDER

Dear All,

On July 14th the dual carriageway heading into the city (southbound) between Crow Lane and Charlton Road will close. This is to rebuild the road surface which is in urgent need of repair (for the record my issue isnt with the repairs - they are needed, it’s the timing of them).

The diversion route for traffic is to use Crow Lane and then Henbury Road (the traffic lights at the junction of Henbury Road and Falcondale Road will be adjusted accordingly) - this is the official route but actually I expect traffic to flow along any available route (Station Road-Henbury Road, Station Road-Kings Weston Road, Knole Lane-Charlton Road).

With schools still open this will be chaos. Once these works are done then at some point in the near future they will close the Northbound section as well and repair that one but I don’t have a date for that yet.

I would strongly suggest that people start planning how they are going to move around the area. Please consider:
❓ Can you make your journey outside of peak time?
❓ Can you walk your kids to school and back rather than drive?
❓ Is there an alternative route you can take to avoid the expected heavy traffic areas?
❓ Whether you will need to allow extra time to make essential journeys?
❓ (can you rent your house out on Airbnb and move away for three weeks? Joking-sort of)

This will not be business as usual so please do plan accordingly.

I will send another reminder out next week as well.
