There is so much about the importance of sleep in the media at the moment - I have helped a number of people over the years, and there can be some real fears about sleep that stop people from enjoying a good nights' sleep.
However, one person who has had problems with waking early and not being able to get back to sleep, has proved a challenge over a couple of years now. BUT we have had a breakthrough, and is now sleeping until the alarm goes off.. every night.
I taught him to use EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) in a very simple form, and it worked from night one. EFT has evolved over the years, when I first trained it involved singing to yourself and other things, that my clients just thought completely mad. It was the way they looked at me that told me this was not going to be a success story! So I stopped using it for years.
However, it has been simplified and now just involves tapping the acupuncture meridians whilst using self-talk. I tried it on myself(always the best place to start) and it worked, keeping me alert when driving late at night. That was successful from first attempt, so I tried it on other things and it was successful, so then I introduced it to the guy with th sleep problem.
