I'm back! Very happy to be easing myself back into massage by seeing regular clients twice a week. I'll be adding more sessions as the months go by but won't be taking new clients at the moment, to prioritise my previous clients while my availability is low. I'm looking forward to seeing you soon!

Farewell for now, my lovely massage clients. Me and bump are heading off on maternity leave. I'm delighted to be adding infant massage to the services I offer. Infant massage has a host of benefits to both the child and the parent. A wonderful continuation of my antenatal and postnatal massage care, infant massage can help parents to strengthen the bond with, and to better understand, their child. It can improve the infant's sleep patterns, relieve colic, aid digestion, boost their immune system and improve skin health.
During this 60 minute appointment, we can normally cover what baby massage courses teach in two or three sessions - saving you time and money. We can work with two babies present, but need one adult to each baby. So you and your partner/a friend can bring your twins, or you can attend with your baby, and a friend and their baby (and you can split the cost). I massage my doll and you massage your baby.
We can tailor the session(s) to specific issues your baby is having (perhaps indigestion or colic for example). Two or three sessions will normally cover everything a baby massage course covers in 6 - 8 sessions.

I am a full year behind schedule getting professional photos of my gorgeous not-so-new treatment room! I adore this room, it's probably my favourite of my house and I get to work there - lucky me! It's bathed in natural light and chock full of my plant babies to cleanse the air. We have enough room to have the choice of working on my hydraulic massage couch or on my large massage futon on the floor which opens up so many possibilities! Dear lovely clients, I am taking a break this Summer for 3 months. The first month is to get married and honeymoon (hurrah!) and the second two are busy with my theatre work. I will miss you all and want to thank you for many years of generous loyalty and custom. My diary is open for September so you can book your favourite slots now, and in the meantime I'll be recommending some excellent practitioners to ease those aches and pains this Summer. I say these words to all new clients on their first session and thought I'd put them here for prospective clients to see as well. I don't subscribe to the 'no pain no gain' mentality, in fact, on my Sports and Remedial Massage Level 5 Course our mantra was 'no pain MUCH to gain', knowing the negative effects that pain can have on the central nervous system. I work hard to make every client comfortable AND happy with the lasting effects of their massage. I've been on the receiving end of too many hideously brutal massages to do anything else! Trained by the wise woman that is LauraLeongomez at the start of this year, I have loved bringing this more spiritual treatment into my practice. I've got your back, babe.
Back pain is the largest single cause of disability in the UK, with lower back pain alone accounting for 11% of the total disability of the UK population (NHS.uk). There's no silver bullet for treating back pain but, as you'll see from my clients comments, my approach gets great results. Sometimes it can just be massage and strengthening, often we will look at your posture and how that might be the root cause of your pain, sometimes meditation is needed to retrain the body's sensitivity to pain and switch off the stress response which can heighten pain intensity. If you're experiencing back pain, get in touch and we can work together to make it a thing of the past 💪🙌
