Absence Within The GP Team
Posted on:16th February 2026
Dear Patients,

We have some significant unexpected absences within the GP team this week, as such this has impacted on appointments.

We apologise for any inconvenience or frustration caused, and we appreciate your understanding.

Thanks,

Heart failure isn’t a single moment — it’s the day-to-day of listening to your body, managing symptoms, and doing your best with a condition you didn’t choose.

During Heart Failure Awareness Week, we’re here for our cardiomyopathy community: the patients, parents, partners, and loved ones. You're not alone.🤍

If you have a cardiomyopathy and have questions about heart failure - or need support - reach out to us at https://sads.org/contact-us/.

🦷 Think you need urgent dental care?

Urgent dental appointments are now available on the NHS — and you don’t need to be registered with an NHS dentist to access them.

If you’re in pain, have swelling, or need urgent help, don’t wait it out. Support is there when you need it. 💙

📞 Contact NHS 111 or visit the NHS website to find urgent dental care near you.

Please share so others know help is available!

We would like to share with you an important update regarding the Partnership at Montpelier Health Centre.

Dr Rachel Brown has now spoken publicly regarding her decision to resign from the Partnership at the end of March this year.

Rachel has been a Partner at Montpelier for 30 years and has seen the practice and Primary Care in general change enormously throughout that time. She has been Managing Partner since 2022 and her calm leadership, approachability and ability to adapt has seen the practice through great change.

We are very pleased to say she will be remaining as a Salaried GP, working Mondays and Tuesdays (1.5 sessions per day), so whilst we bid farewell to her as a Partner, she will very much remain as one of the team.

We want to offer our collective thanks to Rachel for her service to the Community of Montpelier and the staff over her time here and we look forward to working with her in her new role.

It's Time To Talk Day.

You don’t need perfect words to talk about your mental health.

Just a small conversation with someone you trust can make a difference. Let’s break the stigma together and support each other 💙
