Can straighter teeth lead to better oral health? We dive into this question in our latest blog post! 🦷

If you want to achieve a healthier smile, you may want to consider teeth straightening. While many people opt for straightening for purely cosmetic reasons, straighter teeth also play an important role in oral health.

Properly aligned teeth are easier to clean, reduce the risk of dental issues, and contribute to a healthier bite.

Bleeding gums... what does it mean?
It could be a sign of gum disease, which is a common condition affecting the tissues around your teeth. It causes swelling, redness and bleeding of the gums leading to gum recession, bone loss, tooth mobility and even tooth loss.

How to prevent gum disease:
- Brush your teeth twice a day
- Floss every day
- Visit your dentist and hygienist regularly
- Avoid smoking
- Control your sugar intake

Take good care of your teeth and see your dentist regularly! 🦷

When was the last time you visited the dentist? We recommend going every 6 months.

The aim of these appointments is early detection of possible problems so that they don’t turn into more invasive and costly treatments or in the worst case lead to the loss of a toot

20/01/2025

Wrinkle's are a natural part of ageing, and are caused by the constant movement of our facial muscles. But if you'd like support with wrinkle reduction, we can support with πŸ’‰ that work to temporarily freeze the nerves that send signals to our facial muscles, meaning these wrinkles are softened, without losing natural facial expression.

If you do want to go down this route, you won't be alone! Did you know? Wrinkle reduction πŸ’‰ have become the most popular aesthetic treatment in the UK and worldwide due to their powerful anti-ageing effects and ability to reshape and rebalance the face.

Choosing where to undergo these treatments is key to the success! Facial aesthetic treatments have become incredibly popular in recent years, but lack of regulation in the industry means that they are often offered by individuals who do not have the necessary training and experience to ensure a safe and satisfactory outcome.

Dental professionals have a unique position in the facial aesthetics industry, and there are several reasons why they are best qualified to carry out these procedures:

✨Dentists possess a deep understanding of facial anatomy and the tissues of the face, including the muscles, bones, and nerves.

✨A dentist will have trained for a minimum of five years, gaining artistry, clinical dexterity, and core anatomical knowledge.

✨A dentist will likely have performed thousands of pain-free injections throughout their career.

✨You can be assured of a high level of patient care in a safe, clinical environment.

✨You can also expect a high level of discretion as nobody will question your reasons for visiting your dentist.

Flossing is key to good oral health, here's our tips for good flossing technique:

Floss length: Use a piece of floss that's at least 18 inches long.

Floss wrapping: Wrap most of the floss around one middle finger, and the remaining floss around the same finger on your other hand.

Floss holding: Hold the floss tightly between your thumbs and forefingers.

Flossing motion: Gently guide the floss between your teeth using a rubbing motion. Don't snap the floss into your gums.

Flossing around teeth: Curve the floss into a "C" shape around the base of each tooth, and gently slide it into the space between your gum and tooth.

Flossing pattern: Stick to a consistent pattern, such as flossing your upper jaw from left to right.

Flossing frequency: It is often recommended that you floss once a day, but you can floss more often. Ideally, you should floss after every meal, or at least before bed.

Flossing with braces: If you have braces, you can use a floss threader to help get the floss between your teeth.

Flossing before or after brushing: Some research suggests that flossing before brushing may remove more plaque. Brushing after flossing can help flush out anything that comes out while flossing.
