Happy World Earth Day 🌍💚

To celebrate, some of our residents got creative by making bird feeders to hang in the garden, helping to look after our local wildlife 🐦

We also found some old plant pots that needed a little TLC, so they were painted and brought back to life with lots of colour. They’re now helping to make our garden look bright and cheerful, ready for the summer ahead 🌸☀️

We’ve recently updated our Resident Family Tree, and it’s looking more special than ever 🌳💚

Some of our lovely residents got involved in creating their own unique tree designs, adding a personal touch. It’s been wonderful to see everyone’s design.

Today we celebrated National Cup of Tea Day in the loveliest way ☕💛

Our residents had a wonderful time baking delicious cakes together, filling the home with the smell of fresh treats and plenty of laughter. Once everything was ready, we all sat down to enjoy a well-earned cup of tea and a bit of cake — the perfect combination!

The fun didn’t stop there… everyone got creative colouring in their own cup of tea pictures, adding their own unique styles and colours. It was such a relaxing and joyful activity, and lovely to see so many smiles.

Moments like these remind us how special the simple things can be 💕

What a fantastic day we had today at the Bristol Aerospace Museum! ✈️

Our residents had a wonderful time exploring and learning all about the fascinating history on display — there was so much to see and talk about. It was lovely to see everyone so engaged and enjoying themselves.

Our staff had just as much fun, making it a truly special day for all involved 😊

We were also delighted to be joined by Tracy, a friend of one of our residents, who spent the day with us. Together, we all enjoyed a lovely lunch and great company.

Days like these create such special memories 💙

What a truly lovely afternoon our residents and staff had today down the local pub !! 💛

A big thank you to Chris, one of our wonderful resident’s daughters, and staff who kindly took some of our residents out to the local pub for a drink and a good old sing along! 🎶🍻

The warm welcome they received meant so much. It’s moments like these that remind us just how important it is for our residents to feel part of the community, included, valued, and able to enjoy life to the fullest.

Smiles, laughter, and a few classic tunes made it an afternoon to remember 😊

Thank you again to everyone involved for making such special memories with us 😘

Also a huge thank you to the crown and horseshoe for always making our residents feel like they are living life at there fantastic ages and bringing life of happiness ! Big cheers 🍻

There’s something truly special about moments like this 💛

This morning, two of our lovely residents spent time together singing side by side, choosing their favourite songs on Alexa and just enjoying each other’s company. The smiles, the laughter, and the memories that music brings… it’s simply beautiful to witness.

It’s these little moments that mean the most — connection, joy, and feeling at home 🎶

We’ve had a truly lovely Easter weekend here 🐣💛

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful mini concert performance on Easter Sunday, bringing smiles, music and lots of joy to the home. There was also plenty of excitement as everyone chose their own Easter eggs – always a favourite moment!

The fun didn’t stop there… we got busy in the kitchen baking cakes and making delicious Cornflake rocky road treats using up lots of chocolate – the perfect tea-time pudding 🍫🍰

A big thank you to our amazing staff who have been full of cheer all weekend and went above and beyond to make it extra special for our residents. It’s moments like these that mean so much 💕

We just want to say a huge thank you to everyone from Edgemont House and our wonderful community who came along to our Easter event yesterday 🐣💛

Thanks to your incredible support, we raised an amazing amount of money towards our residents’ activity fund — something that truly makes a difference to the lives of those we care for.

It was so lovely to see so many people attend and bring smiles all around. The children had a fantastic time with face painting, Easter egg hunting, and Easter bonnet making, and our cake sale was a huge success — even passers-by couldn’t resist stopping to support us! 🍰

A big thank you to all the families who took part and supported our home, and to our dedicated staff who always go above and beyond to make events like this possible. We are so proud of what we can achieve together as a community.

Our residents were very tired after the busy house full but said how it’s so lovely to see different faces and lots of smiles !

We didn’t manage to get many photos as it was so busy !!

We can’t wait to start planning our summer event next — watch this space! ☀️

Join us this Good Friday (April 3rd) for a fantastic afternoon of Easter celebrations at Edgemont House!

Bring the whole family along – there’ll be lots of fun activities for everyone to enjoy, including games, treats, and plenty of Easter cheer!

💛 All money raised will go directly towards providing activities for our residents and supporting their wellbeing.
