The building that is now Yogawest has been at the heart of Iyengar yoga in Bristol since the early ’90s. Originally a British Legion club, then the BIYC (the Bristol Iyengar Yoga Centre) and now Yogawest a 2-studio space, hosting classes and workshops at the highest standard. Diana and Mike Penny started the latest chapter in the story of Yogawest in 2011. There were a few days of downtime to re-paint and make some layout changes and the doors opened again on with a well-attended Open Day complete with Yogawest balloons! We continue to provide the very best Iyengar yoga teaching in Bristol, with classes for all abilities. We have a wonderful team of teachers and a warm welcome waiting for you. We welcome suggestions and feedback: we have had some great ideas so far and are having fun tweaking the timetable and environment as a result.

Yogawest is closing on 4th August 2025

We send a huge thank you to the loyal Iyengar Yoga community that has supported Yogawest since 2020. In choosing to continue attending our in-house classes you helped to keep the doors open at Yogawest during the tough post-pandemic years.

We send our very best wishes to Kate and Rami for their future success in the beautiful Yogawest building, and are looking forward to seeing their exciting plans come to fruition.
