Games Afternoon at Silver Trees! 🎲🔠

​We had a fantastic afternoon here at Silver Trees as our residents gathered for some friendly competition! It was wonderful to see everyone engaging and enjoying each other's company.

​The lounge was buzzing with activity as we hosted:
- ​Scrabble: There were some truly impressive words found today! It was a brilliant way to keep the mind sharp and share a few laughs over those tricky triple-letter scores. 🧠✨
- ​Shut the Box: This classic dice game was a huge hit, bringing out everyone's competitive spirit as they raced to flip down those numbers. 🎲🔢

​It’s these moments of connection and fun that make our afternoons so special. Well done to everyone who took part!

​This morning, our residents enjoyed a fascinating journey back in time! 🕰️ We watched a brilliant Time Team documentary focused on the iconic Westminster Abbey. 🏛️

​It was truly captivating to follow the specialists as they carried out their excavations, digging deep into the grounds to uncover hidden secrets and stories from the Abbey's long history. 🦴📜

​We had a wonderful afternoon here at Silver Trees! The talented Dave Steer joined us for a live performance that brightened everyone's day. 🎶🌟

​It was absolutely lovely to see our residents smiling and enthusiastically singing along to some classic tunes. There is nothing quite like the power of music to bring us all together! 🎹❤️

Fun and Games at Silver Trees!

​After spending the morning keeping our minds sharp and working our brains with some challenging word games, we switched gears this afternoon to focus on the body. We hosted a series of agility games to get everyone moving and laughing! 🏃‍♂️

​The weather is finally getting warmer and sunnier at Silver Trees! 🌡️✨

​To help everyone enjoy the garden safely, we have placed a selection of sun hats in the ground floor dining room, right by the garden entrance. Please feel free to grab one before heading outside! 🌳🌸

​We also kindly advise families to provide sun cream for their loved ones to ensure they stay protected while enjoying the sunshine. 🧴☀️

Scrabble Morning at Silver Trees 🧠

​A few of our residents gathered for a friendly and competitive game of Scrabble.

​There was plenty of concentration, and some very impressive high-scoring words on the board. It is always wonderful to see everyone socialising and keeping those minds sharp over a cup of tea. ☕️✨

A Sweet Trip to Cadbury Garden Centre 🍦🌿

​We had a wonderful afternoon out at Cadbury Garden Centre today! 🚐

​Sone of our residents enjoyed exploring the colourful displays, and a few even picked up a bit of shopping to take home. 🛍️

To wrap up the visit, we gathered in the covered terrace for a lovely hot drink. It was the perfect way to enjoy the fresh air while staying cosy under the roof! ☕

​It’s always a pleasure to see so many smiles and enjoy a proper chat over a cuppa. 🫖😊

🎶 Music, memories, and smiles all around! 🎶

Today, we enjoyed a wonderful sing-along session filled with classic favourites and feel-good tunes. From toe-tapping rhythms to heartfelt melodies, it was amazing to see everyone joining in, clapping along, and sharing special moments together 💛

Music has such a powerful way of bringing people together, sparking memories, and lifting spirits—and today was a perfect reminder of that.
