We got our creativity flowing this afternoon in preparation for Chinese New Year 🧧

We coloured and decorated dragons that will hang from the ceiling for our arm chair travel to China on Wednesday. 🎨

We love to make home made decorations for special occasions so we can all contribute our own style and preferences to our home 🥰

This morning the fun was in full swing with some friendly competition and lots of laughter 😊

One group enjoyed a game of Bendominoes, carefully matching the curved domino pieces and putting their skills to the test. There was plenty of concentration – and a few triumphant cheers!

Meanwhile, another group had a fantastic time playing Ball Bouncer, keeping the energy high as they bounced and aimed with great enthusiasm to make different shapes on the board. It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved and supporting one another.

A lovely morning full of smiles, teamwork, and great company! 💛

Eyes Down for a Valentine’s Treat! ❤️

​We had a lovely afternoon today with a special Valentine’s Day edition of our regular bingo game! 🌹

​Instead of the usual numbers, we put a romantic twist on things with Picture Bingo. Our residents had a great time spotting love-themed images on their cards—from red roses and chocolate boxes to engagement rings and famous couples. 💘

​To make the session even sweeter, we all enjoyed a nice cup of tea accompanied by some delicious cupcakes, specially made by our wonderful kitchen team. 🧁☕

It was the perfect way to celebrate friendship and love within our home.

​We’ve loved watching this jigsaw come together over the last few days. Our residents have been "dipping into" it here and there at Silver Trees.

​Whether it was finding a single tricky piece while passing by or sitting down for a proper jigsaw session, it’s been a true team effort! It’s certainly kept us all on our toes. 🕵️‍♂️✨

☕ A Cosy Trip to Ashton Court! 🌳

​This afternoon, a group of our residents wrapped up warm for an outing to the beautiful Ashton Court Estate.

​While the weather wasn't exactly on our side, we made our way to the charming café tucked away in the old stables, where we spent a nice time keeping dry and catching up over a nice cup of tea. ☕

🌸 Love is in the Air at Silver Trees! 🌸

​We had such a wonderful morning today getting creative with some of our lovely residents. There was a fantastic buzz in the dining room as we rolled up our sleeves for a flower arranging session! 💐

​Using a beautiful selection of blooms, we worked together to create some truly stunning table centres. They are the perfect finishing touch for our Valentine’s Day celebrations tomorrow. It was a brilliant way to spend the morning—sharing stories, enjoying the floral scents, and showing off some impressive artistic flair! 🌹✨

With a little cutting, sticking, and lots of smiles, we brought these adorable bears to life — complete with moving arms ready to give the warmest hugs!

Love was well and truly in the air at Silver Trees today! Our residents enjoyed a wonderful arts and crafts session, getting stuck into making woolly hearts and painting beautiful Valentine’s statues.

There was plenty of colour, laughter, and creativity as everyone added their own personal touch to their creations. It’s always so lovely to see how art brings people together and sparks happy memories and conversations.

A big well done to all our talented residents — your masterpieces are full of heart! 💕🎨

Keeping Safe at Silver Trees! 🛡️

​Today is Safer Internet Day, and we had a very important and informative afternoon here at Silver Trees. ✨

​We were delighted to welcome PCSO Kate Turner from Avon and Somerset Police, who visited us to talk about phone and online safety and how to stay one step ahead of the scammers. 👮‍♀️📱

​Our residents found the session incredibly useful. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to ask questions—from how to spot a suspicious call to more general questions about local policing. 🗣️💡

​A huge thank you to PCSO Kate Turner for taking the time to visit us! Sessions like these are so important for keeping us connected to our local community and ensuring everyone feels confident and safe when using their tablets and phones. 💖🙌

Musical Afternoon at Silver Trees! 🎵

​We didn't let a change of plans stop the fun at Silver Trees today! ✨

​Even though our entertainers couldn't make it, we had a brilliant time hosting our own improvised music quiz. 🎶🧠 We followed it up with a lovely sing-along to all our favourite classics! 🎤🌟

​As a special treat, we enjoyed the delicious pizzas we made this morning as an afternoon snack. 🍕😋 Everybody loved them, and they tasted even better after all that singing! 🙌❤️
