​What a fantastic afternoon we had today at Silver Trees for our Charity Quiz! 🎉

​It was wonderful to see so many residents and their relatives team up. Everyone had such great fun, and the teams worked brilliantly together to tackle those tough questions!
A special thank you to all the relatives who joined us; your presence and generous donations were greatly appreciated! 💖

​A huge shout-out and thank you to our incredible kitchen team for preparing the most delicious cakes and treats, they were the perfect fuel for all that brainpower! 🎂🧁

🎉 We had an absolutely wonderful afternoon here at Silver Trees! 🎉

​Today, we were thrilled to welcome the incredibly talented musician and storyteller, Michael Loader, to our care home. 🎶📖

​Our residents completely adored him! Michael is such a lovely person and his storytelling is truly passionate and captivating. He didn't just tell stories; he brought them to life! We were especially fascinated by his unusual and interesting instruments!

​The residents got involved by impersonating characters and even playing along with some of the instruments. 🎭🥁 They also had a wonderful time sharing some of their own personal stories and anecdotes, making the afternoon truly special and engaging for everyone.

​It was so much fun, and we all had a fantastic time together! 😊 What a lovely way to spend a Friday afternoon.

Our residents enjoyed a relaxing and engaging morning putting together some beautiful jigsaw puzzles. It’s always wonderful to see the teamwork, patience, and smiles that come with every piece fitting perfectly into place! 💕

🎶 We had such a wonderful afternoon as our lovely friend Nicola Cox visited us once again! 💕

Her beautiful voice filled the room with joy and smiles as she sang some of our favourite songs. Residents joined in, clapping and singing along — it was truly heartwarming to see everyone enjoying the music together. 🎤✨

🎲 Boardgame Bonanza at Silver Trees! ♠️♥️

Our residents had a fantastic time this afternoon enjoying a variety of board and card games together! 😍 We had not one, but two lively Scrabble tournaments running side by side, plus plenty of friendly competition over Connect Four, cards, and other classic games.

The laughter, concentration, and team spirit filled the room, it’s always lovely to see everyone so engaged and having fun! 💬❤️

We were absolutely delighted to welcome the fantastic children from Secret Garden Montessori nursery today, along with their brilliant teachers, Miss Kimmy and Miss Ayesha.

​The fun started with a delicious treat: some lovely homemade biscuits the children kindly brought with them!🍪 Then, it was time to get creative with some Halloween arts and crafts! Everyone, young and old, pitched in to make their very own spooky masks. 🎨✂️

​It was truly heartwarming to see the different generations mix, chat, and help each other out. Some of our lovely residents even gifted their finished masks to their new little friends! 🥰

​A truly special morning full of laughter, creativity, and connection. Thank you to Secret Garden Montessori for such a wonderful visit! We can't wait to see you again soon. ❤️

Our lovely Joan turned 101 years old this Friday! 🥳✨
We’ve spent the last three wonderful days celebrating this incredible milestone together with her family, fellow residents, and staff.

Joan was surrounded by love, laughter, and smiles, and we couldn’t be happier to have shared such a heartwarming occasion with her. ❤️

Today, some of our residents had a fantastic trip to Bristol Museum & Art Gallery! 🚌

​We loved exploring the different exhibits, especially getting a peek into ancient history in the fascinating Egyptian section and checking out all the animal displays 🐅. It was a lovely, engaging day out for everyone!

​And of course, no museum trip is complete without a stop at the café! ☕

Holding down the fort (and the fun!) at Silver Trees! 🏡

With our friends off on their adventure today, we formed our own "Stay-Back Crew" for an epic Scattergories tournament. The room was filled with concentration, quick thinking, and most of all, laughter.

It was the perfect way to spend an afternoon together. We're keeping the community spirit strong! 💙

☕️ Tea & Coffee Morning Time! ☕️

This morning, our residents gathered for a lovely tea and coffee social, sharing warm drinks, delicious biscuits, and even warmer memories. 💬❤️

The topic of the day? Technology through the years! 💡📻📞💻
From remembering when televisions first appeared in living rooms, to chatting about the first mobile phones (and how big they were!), it was amazing to see just how much things have changed — and how quickly!

Laughter filled the room as everyone shared stories of typewriters, dial-up internet, and handwritten letters. ✉️📠

Moments like these remind us that while technology keeps moving forward, the best connections are still made over a good cup of tea. ☕️💛
