🌿 Build a Deeper, Attuned Connection with Your Horse 🌿
Have you ever wondered why sometimes, despite your best intentions, the connection with your horse just… feels off?
It’s not about doing more, pushing harder, or trying to “fix” behaviours.
It’s quiet the opposite, actually, about presence, attunement, and the nervous system, both yours and your horse’s.
Through my work, we explore how working relationally with your horse starts with your own body and nervous system.
So often, we’re disconnected from our own sensations, our bodies hold tension, stress, and unprocessed emotions & trauma and this shows up in the way we interact with our horses.
When we’re triggered, overwhelmed, or running on autopilot, we inadvertently trigger stack experiences for our horse, blocking true connection.
💡 The key? Nervous system regulation.
When we learn to tune into our own body, noticing our breath, our heart rate, and subtle sensations, we start to understand what our nervous system is signalling.
This awareness allows us to regulate ourselves, step out of automatic reactions, and approach our horse from a place of authentic presence. When we show up calm, curious, and attuned, our horses respond in kind.
✨ Imagine your relationship with your horse where:
🐴 You can notice when you’re feeling stressed before it escalates.
🐴 You can respond instead of react, creating a safe container for your horse.
🐴 Every interaction is rooted in mutual understanding, not dominance or avoidance.
My Equine Relational Coaching sessions teach us that the horse - human bond is co-regulated, meaning your nervous system and your horse’s nervous system are constantly in dialogue.
By learning to listen, feel, and regulate, you unlock a connection that is profound, healing, and truly transformative.
If you’re ready to step off autopilot, tune into your body, and deepen your relationship with your horse, we can guide you through this journey, where connection and trauma-informed practice meet. 🐴💛
