Happy World Pride Day!
Today marks the 56th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots and the 55th anniversary of the very first Pride!
Today, we take a look at some famous Q***r Bristol Icons and events who paved the way for our city to be one of the most accepting and diverse in the UK.
We are proud to support the Trans Community and the greater LGBTQIA+ community of Bristol.

Happy Pride Month from !
We are proud to continue our support for Bristol's diverse LGBTQIA+ community.
If you or someone you know who is LGBTQIA+ and is struggling with mental health challenges, know that you are not alone.
We want to celebrate our over 100 volunteers, who are the beating heart at the centre of our charity.
As an independently funded charity, we depend on the hard work and dedication of our volunteers to keep our services running, so here is a glimpse at what they do.
Thank you all for making Mental Health Awareness Week 2025 truly special!
We hit the road this week to talk to our community about our services and how to look after your mental health.
We had so many personal conversations and connections, and for that, we are truly thankful.
We are grateful to these great community spaces for hosting us this Mental Health Awareness Week!

Mental Health Awareness Week isn't just for the weekdays!
This weekend, take a moment for yourself to connect with yourself, others or nature.
Whatever you do, be kind to yourself.
We asked some of our fantastic volunteers how they look after their Mental Health, and they created this very personal video.
Let's all take their lead this weekend.

Bristol Mind was originally founded in 1965 and is now a registered charity and a limited company. We are a Local Mind Association (LMA) affiliated to National Mind though independent of it i.e. we receive no direct funding from National Mind and make our own decisions about the services we offer. As a registered charity we are managed by a group of trustees who volunteer their time to oversee and support the work of the organisation. We recognise that each individual is a resource for their own recovery. Many of our workers, volunteers and trustees have themselves experienced the impact of emotional and mental distress.
Our aims:
To be a resource for all people in Bristol who identify themselves as having mental health or emotional support needs, and those who support them
To promote emotional and mental wellbeing through delivering high quality services in partnership with others where we can
To raise awareness of, and promote positive views about, mental health issues
Mission Statement:
Bristol Mind is a local resource committed to positively supporting individuals on their personal journey of recovery from the impact of emotional distress. Our staff and volunteers provide a range of accessible, relevant and empowering services that contribute to emotional and mental wellbeing and promote social inclusion. We recognise the importance of challenging stigma and discrimination and working alongside others towards a socially just society that supports good mental health for all.
