💡 Innovation Forum 2026 – Save the Date.

Following the success of our first-ever Innovation Forum last year, we’re excited to share that our Centre of Innovation are planning our next forum on 14 April 2026.

The Innovation Forum will be focusing on the concept and co-design of an intergenerational space to enable healthy ageing. Hosted at Somerdale Pavilion in Keynsham, we will bring together our residents, neighbours, local universities, start-ups and health partners to collaborate on this exciting new idea.

We’d love to hear from individuals and organisations who are interested in:
🔹 Attending the forum
🔹 Hosting a talk or workshop
🔹 Displaying a poster
🔹 Hosting a stall
🔹 Taking part in live research or prototyping

There’s something extra special about a gift that tells a story. ✨

Our residents have spent the year growing and harvesting hops as part of the Hoppiness Brews project, and the result is Hundred Not Out, a delicious, limited-edition beer now ready for Christmas! 🎄🍺

After being involved in the process of creating our centenary beer, our John Wills House Care Home - St Monica Trust enjoyed spreading the word about Hundred Not Out at their Christmas Fayre.

🎉 Say hello to our newly refurbished activities room at Cote Lane!

Yesterday, our Chief Executive, David Williams, opened the beautifully refurbished room and we were delighted to welcome so many residents to celebrate.

The space has been completely transformed thanks to principal contractors, Hall Bros, with a new kitchen, fireplace, lighting, flooring, TV, furniture and storage, creating a modern, welcoming environment for our residents to enjoy.

This newly refurbished room will be a fantastic setting for the many social and well-being activities that foster connection and help make Cote Lane a community where older people flourish.

Through our Individual Giving Fund, we can support you with a short-term grant and/or a one-off gift payment.

Our short-term grants are monthly payments of £144 for three months to help you through a financial crisis, such as a sudden loss of income or health-related costs.

A one-off payment can help with the cost of a specific item to improve your quality of life such as household appliances, furniture and flooring.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to bringing our Winter Wonderland to life last week.

A special shoutout has to go the team at BES Systems who transformed our Cote Lane gardens into something magical.

From our brilliant gardening team who care for our grounds so beautifully, to our catering team serving hot drinks and mince pies, to the wonderful Wren’s Birds of Prey team, to the volunteers who gave their time to make the evening run smoothly, and so many other St Monica Trust colleagues working behind the scenes to make it happen, it truly was a team effort.

We’re incredibly proud of everyone involved, and seeing so many happy faces made it all worthwhile.
