🍻 Help us name our centenary beer! 🍻

To celebrate 100 years of the St Monica Trust, we’re brewing our own beer, co-produced from beginning to end with our residents.

Here’s a chance to tap into your creativity and come up with an inspiring name for our centenary brew. Everyone is invited to contribute!

Please send your suggestions to hoppiness@stmonicatrust.org.uk with a short rationale by Sunday 21 September.

Prizes include a free case of the centenary beer, a year’s membership to Bristol Hops Collective, and a non-alcoholic prize option.

At Westbury Fields retirement village, August was all about the glamour of the 1920s, brought to a dazzling finale with a spectacular Gatsby Party!

Our residents looked fabulous in their glamorous costumes, while cocktails, a themed meal, and entertainment from The Flaming Feathers made the night truly special.

A big thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make it happen – fantastic teamwork all round. 👏

Supporting the lives of older people in the West of England has been part of the vision of the St Monica Trust since it began over 100 years ago. Today our charitable giving team helps tackle a variety of issues by distributing hundreds of thousands of pounds to individuals, families and organisations across Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and Bath & North-East Somerset.

Our aim is to help older people live independently in their own community for as long as possible. We do this by helping individuals with financial support through our Individual Giving Fund.

The feedback we receive from the recipients of these grants and their support workers demonstrates the importance of this work and the impact it can have on individuals' lives.

To celebrate our Centenary, we’re growing hops to brew our own centenary beer, co-produced from beginning to end with our residents.

We’re delighted to share that our hops are flourishing thanks to our residents and volunteers who have been lovingly tending to and watering them.
