Urban Fringe Dispensary offers free expert over-the-counter advice, private consultations, and very high quality bespoke herbal medicines, many of which are made from locally grown herbs. We run courses about Herbal Medicine, lead guided Herb Walks in and around the city, and give talks about Herbs and Health. There are also three lovely treatment rooms which offer a range of other complementary therapies and treatments, including Acupuncture, Counselling, Craniosacral Therapy, Deep Tissue & Holistic Massage, Reiki, Reflexology, Shiatsu.

We are reopening the shop on Tuesday 13th April. We would love to see and talk to actual human beings, so if you're in the neighbourhood please pop by to discuss our products, get advice or say hello, although we can still only let one or two people in at a time. Please note that we're carrying on with the four day week routine (Tuesday - Friday 9.30 -4.00).

We are only open for collection of phone or online orders until the lockdown eases. Orders can be collected from the shop Tuesday - Friday 9.30am - 4.00pm. To order by phone please call during these hours on 0117 9276527. As with online orders from our website, we can also post out to you.

Have you ever sunk your hands into cut and dried sage? I was stunned how soft it was.

Sage is a well used herb to address menopausal symptoms and is thus the star of the show in our menopausal mix - Sage compound.

It occurs to me that its soft pillowy feel is a lovely metaphor for its ability to help menopausal women get a good nights sleep, without the hot flushes.
