To call this work.... Absolutely filled up with gratitude for the wonderful community that we created over the weekend. Thank you to you all, what a delight! Proper belly laughs, trying to feed the Alpacas, actually sounding good in the songs around the fire, stomp up Sugar loaf (sorry Dave, Pen-y-fâl), eating too much delicious breakfast that we had to delay morning practice 😂...

Thank you Ella, Gabby and the team at FForest barn.... Most of the food we eat was grown onsite in their incredible allotment 🤩

Thank you to Joki for your incredible food and energy, your aubergine stew and hummus mash will go down in history 🙏

Thank you to Anna my beautiful and talented co facilitator, friend and all round awesome human. Such a delight to host this retreat with you 🥳

Advanced Teacher training retreat .bio 2025

Feeling full with gratitude to be part of the teaching team on retreat last week 🙏 alongside Sarah, Anna, and Valentina 🙌

Returning to Azula 8 years later, the yoga space is rather magical 😍✨️ we had such a lovely week... learnt so much, pond swims with the frogs, facing the rising sun morning meditations, almost solving the hard problem, gelato laughs and that feeling of living in beautiful community (cue planning future community living/cult 🤣)

And I'm still away.... Lisbon, Florence and now just outside Lucca in Tuscany. I'm just about surviving the heat 😅 is it terrible to say I'm looking forward to Autumn 😆

📢 Calling all Bristol massage therapists, talking therapies, and other body workers!

My beautiful space in Portland Square is available on Wednesdays, Thursday evenings and weekends (sorry not by the hour) for a therapist/practitioner to join the Portland Square Clinic team. It is a regular monthly commitment to rent the space, so it would suit those already with an existing patient base.

The space is on the ground floor, with waiting space, kitchen, bathroom, and secure bike parking. The rates are very competitive, and you would be part of a lovely small business community 🙏

The English Riviera has never been so so fine... 😍🌞

Beautiful time in Brixham and around the coast and Dartmoor to finish...

Huge thank you to Michelle and Claire for your amazing holiday home with the best view like ever!!!!

The coastal walk from Broadstone back to Brixham was a particular delight through ancient forest and all the wild flowers!!

It is with a heavy heart that my time as a director of Bristol Yoga Roots Project has come to an end....

I would like first off to send a huge thank you and love to my fellow core directors Megan and Leonie. I have learnt so much from your both, understanding more about myself, the roots of yoga, our privilege, our passions and so much love and compassion for the communities that we have tried to serve with our project 🙏🏼

I have worked in a voluntary capacity as the company secretary, chairperson of the board, core director and general behind the scenes pseudo accountant/strategist/teacher/bookkeeper for past 5 years. It has taught me so much about social enterprise, grant funding, active listening, compassionate business and stakeholder management. Alongside the frustrations of applying for funding, ensuring we are making enough impact and working together on a project that takes a lot of heart.

Thank you to everyone I have worked with during this period, thank you to our board, the rest of the ops team Sheena, Izzy and Anna and all our teachers. I am not going anywhere… but am pursuing new volunteering opportunities with St Peter’s Hospice and working with those nearing the end of their life

£200 and 7 days of clearing, sorting, cleaning, sanding, painting, sanding, painting, cleaning and sorting and we are there 🙏😅 light green units to black 😍 paint and sand all surfaces....

Our 15 year old kitchen looks spanking! Fair respect to Tom for cleaning behind the oven and tops of units... 🤢 Thanks to James and Nathan for use of all handy tools 💪

And yes, we've been coerced into getting an air fryer..
Ninja is on its way 🥷

Now to put the roller down and back away slowly from scuff marks 🤪

📢 Calling all Bristol physiotherapists, sports injury therapists and other body workers!

My beautiful space in Portland Square is available for 2-3 days per week (sorry not by the hour) for a MSK therapist to join the Portland Square Clinic team. As a Chiropractor I would love to have someone I could refer my patients to for rehab and develop my rehab space with some exciting kit!

Monday 7pm - 1 hour yoga flow Friday 11am - 1 hour yoga flow As a virtual class via Zoom app.

The classes are available on Move GB or payable direct via Paypal with suggested donation of £6 (or what you can afford)

If you have been severely impacted by this crisis please just message to me directly your email address and you will be added to all classes no further questions asked for free.

Bit about Hazel...

Hazel is a born and bred Bristolian who has been involved in the health and wellness industry for over 20 years! As a Chiropractor, Hazel has treated at The Medical for the past eleven years in the Bristol city centre clinics. Alongside treating, Hazel has helped grow the business to 21 clinics with her business partners, as well as embarking on an MBA degree.

More recently, Hazel has returned to her teaching roots and re-discovered her new passion for yoga. Hazel has completed a 300 hour yoga teacher training course with Yogasara, one of the longest established schools in Bristol. Teaching yoga has been a perfect complement to her Chiropractic career and general love for helping people to live healthier lives. When not busy treating and teaching, Hazel is generally loving life messing about on the river, living on a canal boat with her mad cat Scooby.
