January is almost done, it always feels like the longest month of the year, but the light is slowly returning.
If you are in need of some self care to ease those winter blues why not come and have a massage. The couch is heated, the oil warmed, its the perfect place to stop, rest, unwind and reset.
I can treat a range of issues including muscle soreness and pain, specific injuries but most importantly I offer you time to relax and unwind. I use a range of advanced massage techniques including deep tissue, fascia release, compression, soft tissue release and mobilisation. Each treatment is tailored to your needs.

I'm taking on 2miles for 2wish!
I'm going to walk 2 miles every day in January for the 2wish a charity which supports those affected by sudden death in children and young people.

I'll post my progress here every day.

Compression ❤️
Compression is a form of therapeutic touch where firm but gentle rhythmic pressure is applied onto a muscle area using hands, held, and then released. The technique activates the body's proprioceptive system, body awareness and calms the central nervous system. It works by increasing parasympathetic activity, the "rest-and-digest" state and reducing the "fight-or-flight" response. I use this technique in all my treatments especially in the Restorative Yoga Massage.
It feels amazing ❤️

I am an experienced massage therapist offering remedial, sports, deep tissue, holistic and pregnancy massage in Bristol.
If you are suffering from nagging pain, injury or feeling stressed I can help you feel better. I can treat specific injuries, including sports injuries, repetitive strains and work-related problems. Or if you just want time to relax and unwind I can do that too.
Massage therapy works deep in the muscles, realigning the muscle fibres and connective tissue helping to increase vascularisation, which in turn facilitates the body’s natural healing process. Treatment offers a profound level of relaxation, both physical and mental.
Massage can be used to treat a range of conditions. If any of the following relate to you massage can help:
Muscular pains | Aching, stiff joints | An injury that’s not getting better |Stress | A medical condition that would benefit from massage
Appointments available Monday | Tuesday | Saturday in Hotwells
Appointments available Friday in Old Market
I began my career as a dancer, studying contemporary dance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, until I had to give up the dream of becoming a professional dancer due to injury. I retrained as a theatre designer and later as an arts manager. I have worked in the dance sector for many years co-founding two dance companies along the way.
I am a cyclist, washboard player and keen hill walker. I two have two dogs and two children. I am married to a musician.
I am a graduate of the Bristol College of Massage and Bodywork, the leading massage training college in the South West . I am a member of the Massage Training Institute..
Many of the people I have treated are keen sports people, musicians and dancers. Because they are passionate about what they do they continue playing and performing even though it hurts until they have a chronic over-use injury.
I can help speed recovery from specific traumas such as muscle strains and sprains. I can also help with overuse injuries whether they are from sport or day-to-day life.
