🌟 Feel Good Friday 🌟

Rackets Cubed Community Supermarket is a brilliant organisation providing affordable groceries and wraparound support to families in Roehampton and Battersea.

By joining Neighbourly, they’ve been able to connect with generous business partners whose support is helping them reach even more families in need, and they’ve shared this lovely feedback with us this week.

We love seeing how connections made through Neighbourly help local causes like Rackets Cubed strengthen communities, reduce isolation, and make good food accessible for everyone.

👏 A huge thank you to their amazing team, volunteers and partners for everything you do!

Our latest research: the Autumn 2025 Community Survey, explores the pressures, priorities and outlook for small charities and community organisations across the UK and Ireland as they head into the winter months.

This research was made possible thanks to the input of over 1,300 small charities and good causes connected to Neighbourly - including many of you reading this.

Your feedback has provided invaluable insights into how grassroots organisations are responding to rising need and capacity challenges. Thank you for sharing your experiences.

Key insights:
📈 Rising demand: 79% of organisations report increased demand for their services over the past six months.
🧤 Winter pressures: 90% expect the cost-of-living crisis to significantly impact the people they support this winter.
🤝 Partnership power: 81% find business partnerships useful in sustaining their services.
💻 Digital & AI: Use of AI is growing, but barriers around time, funding and access remain.

These findings highlight the importance of collaboration, between good causes, businesses and local communities, in building stronger, more resilient support for those who need it most.

Today is the first day of the Social Value Conference 2025 and we're thrilled to be sponsoring the event 🚀

The theme this year is Social Value in Action, with inspiring discussions and success stories being shared by champions across the private, public and third sectors.

Steve Butterworth (CEO) will be representing Neighbourly on the Mission Critical: (Re)building trust breakout panel on Thursday 23rd, focusing on how to close the trust gap for local authorities and ensure that Social Value does not become a promise unmet.

If you've got tickets we hope to see you there! 👋

💬 "Amey volunteers have been absolutely brilliant today. You've been a lovely bunch of people and so friendly and helpful."

Earlier this year, a brilliant team of employees from Amey spent the day supporting the 260th Birmingham Scout Group.

This volunteering day brought extra pairs of hands to help clean, refresh and reorganise the Scout hut, making it more accessible, better resourced, and a more inspiring place for young people to spend their time.💙

For small charities like the 260th Birmingham Scouts, a day of support like this goes a long way — helping them focus on delivering brilliant programmes for local children, without worrying about the upkeep of their spaces.

We’re proud to connect businesses like Amey with grassroots good causes who need a boost, because when businesses give their time, communities gain so much. 💪
