This ancient festival invites you to pause, to honour all that’s ripening, and to reconnect with the deeper rhythms of your body and life. 🍑🌿

In both Western and Eastern traditions — from Celtic fields to Chinese cosmology — this moment is a gateway. Halfway between summer and autumn, it’s a call to receive, to nourish, to celebrate.

🌱 Why I Say Maturessence, Not Menopause 🌱
Mature = wisdom, evolution, ripening.
Essence = your life force, energetic DNA.
Maturessence = the fruition of your soul.
Menopause sounds like an ending, pause or loss. Maturessence is the opposite: a ripening of your Essence, a deepening of self.
It marks a profound transition when you are freed from your monthly cycles to connect with larger cycles. You don’t lose Essence — you refine and redirect it. It’s the start of a new phase of wisdom, vitality, and expression.
Maturessence expresses:
✨ A ripening of wisdom.
✨ A deepening of self.
✨ A new phase of embodied power.
Just like Adolescence marks the journey into adulthood, Maturessence marks the emergence into mature womanhood.
(not be to confused with Matresence: a term sometimes used to describe motherhood)
🔸 Matrescence = the transition into motherhood
🔸 Maturessence = the transition into wise womanhood
Both are sacred gateways. One begins the parenting journey; the other begins the flowering of your Essence.

🌱 La vie dans l’utérus de la mère : Embrasser nos ressources les plus précoces
Saviez-vous que l’expérience que vous avez vécue dans l’utérus de votre mère a un impact sur vous aujourd’hui ? Bien que l’on parle souvent des traumatismes, il est essentiel de reconnaître et de valoriser les principales ressources issues de la période où vous étiez dans le ventre de votre mère.
La première ressource est votre lien avec le macrocosme de l’univers. Dès le moment de la conception, vous faites partie de ce potentiel infini - une connexion à laquelle vous pouvez toujours accéder.
Ces ressources innées peuvent vous soutenir dans le présent et vous aider à vous libérer des traumatismes.

🌱 Life in the Womb: Embracing Our Earliest Resources

Did you know your womb experience impacts you now? While trauma is often discussed, it’s vital to recognize and value the key resources from your time in the womb.

The first resource is your connection to the macrocosm of the universe. From the moment of conception, you are part of this infinite potential—a connection you can always access.
These innate resources can support you in the present and aid in releasing trauma.

I get frustrated that people still talk about “Forbidden” points. We need to transform our fears into empowerment by understanding and harnessing their true power. All of these points are on the Extraordinary Vessels pathways. Learn how to work with them to support pregnancy, empower birth, and restore energy postnatally. In my diagram I have added some other powerful points on the Vessels and like to call them ‘Transforming points. They are transformational during many times in our lives.

I talk about the importance of working in the first trimester because it is the foundation for the entire pregnancy. There are no “forbidden areas or points” in acupressure and acupuncture in the first trimester as long as you listen carefully to the cues the body gives. I describe what is shiatsu and how you can become better attuned with the body to improve your treatment sessions. I also talk about points on the body which can help strengthen the cervix in some women which can also strengthen the connection to the womb.
