💕 A Heartwarming Valentine’s Afternoon Tea 💕
What a truly special afternoon we shared celebrating Valentine’s Day with a wonderful Afternoon Tea, filled with sweet treats, laughter, and love. 💖

Our fantastic Activities Coordinator, Stacey, hosted a beautiful live singing request set, creating the perfect soundtrack for the occasion. It was simply lovely to see our residents smiling, singing along, and enjoying precious moments with their relatives. 🎶

A huge thank you must also go to Ali in the kitchen, whose hard work and dedication always ensure we have the most delicious cakes and treats to enjoy. Everything looked beautiful and tasted amazing — your effort truly made the afternoon extra special. 🍰✨

Days like these remind us how meaningful connection, music, and togetherness really are. Creating opportunities for joy and shared memories is at the heart of everything we do, and this celebration was no exception.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make such lovely memories together. 💕

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Cook to join our friendly care home team to work two days per week (14hrs) Including every other weekend. You’ll play a key role in preparing nutritious, home-cooked meals that meet the needs and preferences of our residents.
Key responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook fresh, well-balanced meals daily
• Cater for special dietary requirements (e.g. soft diets, allergies)
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
• Manage stock, food rotation, and basic ordering
• Work cooperatively with care and management teams
About you:
• Experience cooking in a care, catering, or similar setting (preferred but not essential)
• Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety
• Organised, dependable, and able to work independently
• A caring attitude and pride in producing good-quality food

Today residents enjoyed a relaxed and creative Valentine’s activity, making beautiful tea light holders using recycled jam jars.

There was plenty of conversation, laughter, and shared ideas as everyone decorated their jars, and the finished pieces looked wonderful when lit.

Activities like these are a lovely way for residents to express themselves, spend time together, and enjoy a calm, cosy atmosphere.

As February approaches, we’re getting crafty with love in the air ❤️🎨

Today our residents enjoyed a pom-pom painting activity, creating beautiful artwork around heart stencils to display on our board. Alongside the creativity, there were plenty of lovely chats and moments spent reminiscing about cherished loved ones.

A simple activity filled with warmth, memories, and smiles 💕✨

As we get ready to welcome the new year, we brightened up the home by creating our 2026 calendar board ✨
It was a real team effort, with staff and relatives all pitching in. Despite a small glitter explosion in the dining room, the most important part was seeing our residents having fun, getting creative, and enjoying every moment 💛

What a fantastic afternoon on Saturday 🎄✨

Our residents’ Christmas party was a huge success, filled with laughter, joy, and festive cheer. Events like these are so important to Bridge House, bringing our residents and their families together, creating special memories, and giving our residents something truly joyful to look forward to.

We were treated to amazing entertainment from the wonderful Jodie Payne, who had everyone smiling, singing along, and fully joining in. A huge thank you as well to our lovely chef Ali for the absolutely delicious food — it was enjoyed and very much appreciated by all 🍽️❤️

Moments like these remind us just how special Bridge House is. Thank you to everyone who helped make the afternoon so memorable. 🎅🎶
