Our residents had a fantastic trip to the Avon Valley Railway, soaking up the sights (and a few raindrops!) while reminiscing about the golden age of steam. 🚂✨

🍂 Another lovely Arts & Crafts Day at Bridge House! 🍁
A small group of residents had a wonderful time getting creative and updating our flower arrangements for the autumn season. The home is now filled with rich colours, cosy vibes, and beautiful handmade touches that truly reflect the season.

So proud of everyone’s creativity – it’s amazing what a little imagination and teamwork can do. 🍃✨

🍁 Autumn Arts & Crafts Fun! 🍂

We’ve been getting creative today with our lovely residents, making beautiful autumn-themed collages to decorate our board and bring that cozy seasonal feel to the home! 🎨✨

The smiles, laughter, and teamwork made it such a wonderful afternoon. The home is definitely looking more autumnal thanks to everyone's amazing efforts! 🧡🍃

Next up: flower arranging tomorrow afternoon – we can’t wait to see what beautiful creations we can create 🌸🌻

🌸 Appeal for Donations – Bridge House Residential Home 🍂

Hello lovely Frampton Cotterell community,

I’m the Activities Coordinator at Bridge House Residential Home, and we’re planning a special Autumn Arts and Crafts Afternoon for our residents. To make it extra beautiful, we’re hoping to gather a few donations:

Medium or large vases (any style – just big enough to hold flower arrangements)

Any artificial autumn decorations (leaves, garlands, pumpkins, pinecones, etc.)

If you have any of these items tucked away at home that you no longer need, we’d be so grateful if you could donate them. They’ll help bring joy, creativity, and a touch of autumn magic to our residents’ activities. 🍁✨

Donations can be dropped off at Bridge House Residential Home, Frampton Cotterell – or if easier, let me know and I can arrange collection.

💚 Macmillan Coffee Morning – Thank You! 💚

A huge thank you to all our amazing staff, volunteers, and everyone who kindly donated cakes and raffle prizes – your generosity made our Macmillan Coffee Morning such a success! 🎂🎁

We were treated to some fantastic live entertainment from our very own in-house Activities Coordinator 🎶, which really added to the special atmosphere.

Together, we raised a wonderful £253 for Macmillan Cancer Support – such a worthy cause close to many of our hearts. 💚

Thank you again to everyone who joined us, supported, and donated – we couldn’t have done it without you! 🌟

🤠✨ What a fantastic time we had at our Country & Western themed Dance & Wellbeing class with Polly! 💃🕺

From toe-tapping tunes to line dancing fun, the room was full of energy, laughter, and plenty of smiling faces. 🌟 Everyone joined in, and the joy was contagious!

we can’t wait to do it again soon! ❤️

🧠✨ Today we had such a fun time keeping our minds sharp with a general knowledge quiz! The residents loved testing their memory, sharing stories, and even debating a few of the answers. 😄 It’s amazing how a little quiz can spark big conversations and lots of laughter.

Staying curious and engaged is one of the best ways to keep the brain active—and it’s even better when we do it together. 💬💡

✨🎶 A Beautiful Afternoon at Bridge House 🎶✨

Today we were treated to the stunning voice of Siobhan Olivia Music , who filled our home with joy, memories, and plenty of smiles. 💖

From classic favorites to heartfelt ballads, her performance brought so much warmth to our residents and team. Music has such a special way of connecting us all, and this afternoon was a reminder of just how powerful it can be.

A huge thank you to her for sharing her gift with us – we can’t wait to welcome you back! 🌸🎤
