Easter Holidays in photos: We enjoyed the sunny weather so much- it was unexpected and delightful!
1. Planting our seeds
2. Easter hunt at Cheddar Gorge caves
3. Baking
4. Making patterns with our shells from last summer
5. Getting our beds ready
6. My daughter learnt about the game truth or dare- not super happy about that but that’s another conversation- we played it and she dared me to get into the bath fully clothed. I said no and then thought “why not”. Had the best and most fun conversations with my girls in that bath 😍.
How was your Easter break?

Montessori isn’t just for children. When I was looking for a place to receive my one-to-one clients, I knew I needed to apply the same principles I would use when creating a space for children: it needs to be warm, not too busy visually, beautiful-with art at eye level-, tidy and that gives a feeling of home and safety. That’s why I chose ; the attention to detail is outstanding, the rooms are warm and cosy and I feel comfortable as soon as I step through the doors.

It’s World Book Day Week! Last week, parents were talking about it at pick up time- the children also had a dress up day last week. One of the mums said to me “Yes but I bet because you’re a Montessori parent, you’re hand making great costumes”. I am not and have not ever made any costumes. The first reason is that my children have always refused to dress up and I am not forcing my child to wear something they don’t want to just to please the adults. The second reason is that Montessori is about supporting a child’s independence- so my child has “designed” her own costume for Thursday. She was happy dressing up and looked at what we already had around the house. If you love creating costumes, have fun and create something fabulous together with your child. If you don’t, it’s great to support your child to do it by themselves- even if the end result is not what anyone expected.

Books and Well-being…. What I hear a lot (and also say myself) is that mothers don’t have time to read. It’s true, once you become a parent, there’s so much less time to do our own stuff. The thing is, I think we have plenty of time to read. We somehow have convinced ourselves that the books we should read are parenting books or “smart” books and those books require a lot of energy and brain power and frankly I’m low on both.
So here are 3 books currently on my bedside table and what’s happening to them:
I bought “La vie- a year in Rural France” a few months ago. It’s easy to read and really lovely. However I’m yet to finish it because after each chapter, I go down the “French Rightmove” rabbit hole and it’s met with a veto from my husband (which is then followed by a UK Rightmove rabbit hole also met with a veto 😅). Will I ever finish it? Who knows.
Last week I bought the brand new book from Tina Payne Bryson The way of Play. It’s fantastic but like a lot of parenting books could honestly be half the size. I will finish it eventually but it will be laborious.
So this morning I decided to take my own advice and when I spotted this Bridget Jones book I bought it. It’s funny and so easy to read. I’m pretty sure that I’ll have finished it in a week and it’s going to feel amazing. You know, that feeling of finishing a book and being a bit dazed in some kind of halfway world between the book and real life. This makes us feel so good and is necessary for our wellbeing.
So please drop book titles in the comments. Books that are easy and fun and exciting to read. Xx

The next block of Well-being classes will be open for booking by the end of the week. (End of February/March). Why do I only offer a block booking and not Pay as you go? Because we need connection and it’s a lot easier and natural to build deeper connections with people we see every week. It also makes us feel safer- we know who will be there- and we can reach deeper levels of relaxation.

Currently, Saturday is plant care day in our home. We water, spray and deadhead them. Plants are a great way to bring nature inside and keep that outdoor regulation going. When we involve our children, it helps them regulate their own nervous system but it also gives them an appreciation for nature and how to keep it safe. It also helps support their concentration and motor skills. A win-win-win!

Spending time in nature is one of our fundamental needs. It’s why I’m holding my Well-being classes in beautiful environments.
