I would like to leave a review of treatments at The Helpers Hands. I am a regular client of Thorsten for sports massage and Bowen theraphy for a few years. Never had any issues and i always feel amazing after each treatment. I am also a runner and i started to feel some pain in my right knee while running. After a lovely friendly chat with Thorsten, he came with a diagnosis a Runners knee with some inflammation. So i started to have a two treatments within a week of Bowen therapy focused on my knee and also my knee was supported with kinesiology tape. I had two weeks of rest from running. My knee is now PAIN FREE and i can fully prepare for my first Marathon race in few weeks time.Thorsten is a professional therapist with his knowledge at highest level and he knows how to help people. Highly recommended!!!
Thank you, Petra

I’m excited to share that I’ve recently trained with Ziggie Bergman in Facial Reflexology – the Bergman Method, and I’ll soon be offering this beautiful treatment at the clinic 💆‍♀️

What is Facial Reflexology (Bergman Method)?
It’s a gentle, holistic therapy that works on reflex points on the face linked to the body’s organs, systems and emotions. By stimulating these points, the treatment helps calm the nervous system and support the body’s natural healing processes.

🌿 Conditions facial reflexology may support:
• Stress & anxiety
• Headaches & migraines
• Hormonal imbalance
• Digestive issues
• Sinus congestion
• Sleep difficulties, insomnia
• Fatigue & burnout
• Emotional overwhelm

This is a holistic treatment which works from the inside out, supporting wellbeing while also enhancing the natural glow of the face 💆‍♀️💆

📅 Appointments will be available shortly — keep an eye on this space for booking details 💛

Why do some areas of the feet feel tender during reflexology?

This is a question I’m often asked!

Tenderness in certain areas of the feet is very common and nothing to worry about.
In reflexology, the feet reflect the whole body. When a spot feels sensitive, it may simply be showing that the corresponding area of the body or nervous system has been under pressure, holding tension, or gently asking for support.

Tenderness can be linked to:
▫️stress or tension in the nervous system
▫️areas that have been compensating or overworking
▫️emotional or mental load
▫️ reduced circulation or mobility

As the treatment continues, these
tender areas often soften, a beautiful sign that the body is responding, rebalancing, and letting go.
Your body communicates through your feet, hands, face, and ears, not to alarm you, but to guide you.🙏

Reflexology listens to that conversation and supports the body’s natural ability to return to balance. Gentle awareness creates a change💚

I’m excited to share that I will be undertaking specialised training in Cranial Reflexology this December to further expand the support I offer my clients!

Reflexology has consistently brought meaningful outcomes in my practice: Supporting relaxation, easing tension, and helping clients feel more balanced overall. This advanced cranial approach will allow me to work even more precisely with stress-related patterns held in the head, face, and neck.

Cranial Reflexology is a gentle, structured method that focuses on specific reflex zones to encourage the body’s natural balancing processes and promote deeper calm.

Clients often seek this treatment for support with:
• Emotional and physical stress
• Persistent upper-body tension
• Fatigue or low resilience
• General wellbeing and relaxation
• Head and facial tension (including migraines and headaches)
• Neuralgia-related discomfort
• Post-concussion recovery support
• After-effects of trauma
• Recovery following neurological events (alongside medical care)
• Fibromyalgia-related tension
• Bruxism and jaw tightness
• Alopecia-related stress
• TMJ discomfort
• Encouraging healthy head and neck circulation

I’m committed to continually developing my skills to offer the highest standard of care. I look forward to introducing this specialised method into my treatments and supporting clients with an even more holistic approach. 🙏😊
