Spring Equinox and International Day of Happiness…a coincidence? I think not…

This gorgeous Snow Moon reminds me that nature moves in cycles. Winter asks us to slow down, to rest, to reflect. And then, gently, spring arrives with new light, new growth, new beginnings – and a reason for us all to smile and feel happiness radiate through our bodies.

Every season has its purpose and every phase has its lessons, but now… we step forward and re-emerge.

Longer days. Softer air. Fresh energy.

If Winter has felt heavy, let this be your permission to open up to what’s next. Happiness doesn’t always arrive loudly, sometimes it’s simply the quiet shift of light returning.

International Women’s Day 🌿✨

There is such strength in being a woman.

Strength in softness.
Strength in intuition.
Strength in connection.

Today I honour the divine feminine energy that flows through us and the deep connection we share with Mother Earth…always nurturing, grounding, cyclical and powerful.

I also want to celebrate all the incredible women who join my retreats, yoga classes, workshops and reflexology sessions. The courage you show in choosing yourself, in prioritising your wellbeing, in showing up exactly as you are, inspires me every single day and helps me continue to do what I love.

May we continue to support one another, lift one another and create spaces where women feel safe, seen and heard 💛

World Book Day 📖✨

Costumes aside, today carries such a powerful message…encouraging children (and adults!) to read more, expand their minds and feed their imagination.

As an ex-teacher, books have always held a very special place in my heart. Stories shape us and words stay with us for a lifetime.

Since meeting Donna Ashworth last October at a Bristol event, her book “Joy Chose You” has become something I return to again and again.

I use it often within my yoga teachings - weaving small moments of joy into my day, into my classes and my retreats. It gently reminds me that joy isn’t something we chase…sometimes it quietly chooses us.

Today feels like a beautiful reminder to pick up a book that inspires you.

There’s no better way to slow down and breathe than by being in nature.

Watch a sunset paint the sky, listen to birdsong, or notice the little creatures and wildlife around you…each moment invites calm, presence, and connection 🌅🦋

As we move into March and witness the first hints of spring, it’s the perfect time to embrace new beginnings, letting go of what no longer serves you, and welcoming fresh energy and growth. Just like the seasons, we can bloom again, gently and naturally🌱

Take a walk, pause, and let the beauty around you soothe and inspire your soul.

A Day in the Life of…Relax with Jax ✨

Step inside a day with me, filled with calm, movement, and little moments of joy 🙏

✨a timed meditation practice to start the day
✨morning breakfast – protein shake with my daily staples
✨a walk in nature visiting my furry friends, grounding and getting my daily steps in, searching for vitamin D
✨off to teach a Spirit class at David Lloyd (a blend of Yoga and Pilates) - love holding space for my Yogis in this big studio
✨a nutritious lunch before teaching a workshop all around the theme of leaning into stillness
✨my heart is full after spending my afternoon at this family run gym called Workout Ashton
✨I always close the day with some journaling or gratitude practice – this book was a beautiful Christmas present from a friend and fellow Yogi

Today is all about love… and that includes self-love 🤗

Take a moment to pause, breathe, and show yourself a little kindness.

Whether it’s a quiet cup of tea, a walk in nature, or simply a moment to reflect, remember: you are worthy of love, always.

I love this photo, it’s simply me sending heart hands to the full moon, the perfect reminder that love flows outward and inward, and that taking care of yourself is just as important as caring for others.

If you’re new here… welcome 🤍

I’m Jax - a yoga teacher and reflexologist based in the beautiful South West. Yoga is my love, and it has been a steady companion through some of the most challenging and transformative moments of my life.

I found yoga more deeply after losing my dad, and the yogic path gave me the strength, calm, and inner peace I needed at a time when everything felt uncertain. That journey led me to complete my Sivananda yoga teacher training in India in 2013 - an experience that changed me in ways I’m forever grateful for.

Now, I hold space for others through yoga classes, nurturing retreats in the UK and abroad, alongside holistic reflexology sessions. Everything I offer is rooted in softness, connection, and the belief that you don’t need to be flexible or “have it all together” - you just need to come as you are 🌿
