Hillside Court are extremely proud to show off the incredible achievement of our colleagues Marie & Kelli from The Rise in Plymouth, for winning a National Safeguarding Award in recognition of their commitment to the safety of others! For that we also thank you!

Brilliant achievement, very well deserved!

We’re proud to share that Kelli Vella and Marie Dorney have won the National Adults Safeguarding Award for Protection (Team) for their outstanding work at The Rise.

The Rise is our specialist Extra Care scheme for people aged over 55 with visual impairment, and Marie and Kelli have gone above and beyond to make sure every resident feels heard, supported and safe.

They’ve created open, honest communication, empowered residents to share concerns, and worked closely with safeguarding teams and senior leaders to make sure action is taken when needed. Most importantly, they’ve made sure residents never feel alone. 💬✨

Congratulations, Marie and Kelli - a truly well-deserved achievement. 👏

Have you ever visited The Willow Trust?
We’ve had the pleasure of cruising the Sharpness Canal - Gloucester. What a fantastic day this was!
The boat is adapted for everyone, no matter their abilities.
We all got to take a turn on the wheel!
We can’t wait to go back ⛴️♿️☀️

The team at Hillside Court are now on their second week of our digital care system Birdie 🐦

We’re off to a flying start! Staff are using the app confidently and we’ve had our first family member sign up for the Care Circle, giving them remote access to care records!
