⚠️ Not all sunscreens protect you from both UV-A and UV-B. SPF relates to protection from UV-B and only Broadspectrum protects from UV-A
The sun rays are a spectrum of light, which is divided in, the visible (what we see), the infrared (the warmth we feel) and the ultraviolet (what we can't see).
UV-A is constant all year round, goes through clouds and glass. So basically even in winter, cloudy day and indoors your skin gets damaged, because its this fraction the main responsable for premature skin ageing and increase cancer risk.
UV-B is what allows us to convert vitamin D and also causes sunburns.
So now you know this, you must double check the sunscreen you are using has the highest SPF and Broadspectrum.
I go over all this in consultation, as my patient's overall health is my priority.
