Julia has always been in to health and fitness

Back in April she has her first child Theo 💙

She found it hard seeing her body change even though it’s an amazing thing to go through I can imagine it must be difficult for mums

We focused on recovery to start with and then we set out a plan

We started with 3 sessions per week which has now built up to 4

She had the option to do gym or home based on wait was easier for her

She focused on protein and calorie counting across the week to have more flexibility

She’s totally smashed it lost 7kg feeling more herself and the goal is to build calories up and focus on building the strongest Julia yet!

It’s not a weight loss competition!

During our journey we will see people lose a large amount of weight and think why am I not losing the same weight

But it should never be about losing as much weight as possible

This lady was new to weight training when we started and not getting enough protein

She also doesn’t have weight to lose but a recomp in her body

Her body composition has changed so much

She’s now stronger than she was before

But there is only 1kg difference on the scales between these photos

Just because you don’t lose lots of weight doesn’t mean your not making mega progress

This is why photos are so beneficial to your journey!

You can absolutely transform your body as you get older

Lifestyle changes for females over the age of 40 become even more important due to the hormonal changes

But with the right changes, the right guidance you can make amazing progress

Julia has investing in making those changes but now not only does she feel more confident and strong she enjoys her lifestyle

She’s now currently eat at maintenance, focusing on feeling strong and fit

She’s doesn’t track her food all the time as she now knows how to eat well, and manage social events

Currently half way through Nicolas fat loss phase

She has also had 2 holidays, and got married during this time! So you can make progress during a social time of your life with the right plan!

We are focusing on building solid habits that she will continue

Strength training 3x a week and building her confidence in the gym

Tracking her food and prioritising a good quality diet

Regular movement throughout the day

These habits post diet we want to still maintain but bring the food out of the calorie deficit

Looking forward to seeing the end results in a few weeks time and the progress is already amazing!

Lynda competes next month and I am so excited for her

I took over her prep and her dedication and discipline has been amazing 🤩

The last few weeks of prep aren’t easy, the body and mind are tired as being lean isn’t easy!

But it’s so worth it show day!

I want to empower females to feel strong

Many females struggle to understand nutrition as there is a lot of bu****it out there

I want them to feel confident training by themselves as we know the strength training can really transform your body

Sasha has absolutely smashed it

She’s now educated around nutrition and training

She trains 4x a week and feels strong and confident

Shes also 15kg lighter now 💃🏼

Her lifestyle is something she very much enjoys and now the focus is to continue getting stronger and fuel her body

Weight training when you first start out can be scary

No one starts knowing what to do so must of us just stick with cardio

But it’s the strength training that changes your shape, it gives you your strength with as females we want to keep as we get older

Sarah has absolutely smashed it, those glutes 🍑

We haven’t done this through simply eating no food she has spent time fuelling her body, training hard at the gym and now she’s absolutely smashing it!

Progress can slow down and sometimes you don’t actually need to change anything you just need to address these 4 things

We are driven by progress and you want to do everything you can to keep the progress coming

Focus on nailing these things over a period of time and you will make fantastic progress 💃🙋‍♀️

I will remind my clients of these things and keep them focused so that they reach their goals

STRESS MATTERS!

Managing stress is a big part of progress

Meg is a full time working Mum which means she’s busy!

Trying to train 5x a week
Eat 5 meals a day
Hit over 10k steps a week just isn’t possible

We focused on managing stress better

We reduced training to 3x a week
Focused on 4 quick but healthy meals
Focused on a weekly step target

And after 7 weeks with Xmas in between her body is responding and she’s smiling!! 🙋🏼‍♀️

Thrive as you get older 👏🏽😊💪🏼

Many of my ladies come to me after feeling like their body and mind has changed when they enter their 40s

Many hormonal changes will start to happen around this time which can change how you feel and look

However this doesn’t mean you can’t work on changing that 😊

Been a pleasure to watch Katie go from strength to strength and she is now is a place where she feels good

We rang a structured fat loss phase where we looked at managing stress as often women can find they feel more overwhelmed and anxious as they get older

We have now been focusing on feeling strong and fuelling her body to optimise hormones and she’s thriving!
