Toogood Nutrition & ADHD Specialist

Toogood Nutrition & ADHD Specialist Nutritionist, Life Coach, ADHD Specialist This realization has fueled my passion to help others overcome similar challenges and adopt healthier lifestyles.

I'm Nicky, and I've embarked on the journey of becoming a Nutritionist, lifestyle, health, and wellness coach driven by my own experiences. Throughout my life, I've struggled with yo-yo dieting, witnessing my weight fluctuate significantly, especially after having my second child in 2012. However, after years of trial and error with various diets, pills, and shakes, I've managed to maintain my wei

ght loss for the past two years, breaking free from the yo-yo dieting cycle. Through my personal struggles, I've realized the power behind the word "diet" and its ability to evoke negative thoughts and emotions, particularly for those with an unhealthy relationship with food. Moreover, my recent diagnosis of combined ADHD, and approaching the menopause along with having a son who also has combined ADHD, has further shaped my approach. I've learned to adapt my coaching style to be more inclusive and can tailor my approach to individuals with neurodiverse brains. Enter the Toogood Nutrition Support Systems Program, a personalized approach designed to work with clients on a one-on-one basis. The program focuses on devising flexible plans that incorporate foods clients enjoy, introducing new flavors while achieving weight loss goals. Importantly, no foods are banned, and I aim to alleviate any guilt associated with eating tasty foods. In the program, we delve into the root causes behind clients' relationships with food, reviewing habits and behaviors to develop tools and techniques for long-lasting progress. Through education, clients learn to design their meal plans, removing restrictions and embracing lifestyle changes rather than short-term diets. Over the past decade, I've dedicated myself to training, studying, and obtaining qualifications necessary to hone my skills as a coach. This journey has equipped me with the expertise to effectively guide a diverse range of clients, each with unique needs and circumstances. In my approach, I prioritize tailoring coaching plans to suit the individual requirements of each person I work with. This ensures that every client receives personalized attention and support on their journey towards achieving their health and wellness goals. The program offers access to lifestyle coaching, membership in a private Facebook group, and monthly recipe packs with detailed nutritional information. Educational content and nutritional insights are shared weekly within the group. Additionally, 1-1 talking therapy is available either walking therapy or weekly calls to help discuss and share difficulties you are experiencing. As for coaching options, I offer online sessions, calls, video calls, and even walking therapy for those who prefer it. My pricing structure is transparent, ranging from £30 per month for online nutrition to £400 per month for more intensive coaching sessions, with ADHD/AUD coaching starting at £50 per month. Talking therapy is also offered at a cost of £40 per hour subject to availability (either walking/calls or video calls. Work books, journals and goal setting can form part of this therapy using CBT and DBT techniques. In addition to the above services, I've collaborated with a highly qualified fitness professional (Vicky Moody) to develop an innovative 8-week program called "BODY FOR LIFE" This comprehensive program encompasses fitness, weight loss, nutrition, and knowledge to empower participants on their wellness journey. Over the course of 8 weeks, you'll receive education on nutrition, behavior change, recipe packs, and habit coaching. I'll be personally checking in with you online weekly to provide guidance and support. Additionally, you'll gain access to an exclusive members-only group where you can share your meals, track progress, find inspiration, and connect with others on similar journeys. As part of the program, you'll enjoy unlimited access to Vicky's body toning/sculpting, fitness, pilates, and stretch classes. These classes are designed to cater to all ages and abilities, ensuring that everyone can participate and benefit. These classes are based in Bristol South Gloucestershire. The "Body for Life" program is priced at £120 for the entire 8-week course. Since its launch in April 2022, the program has garnered significant popularity, underscoring its effectiveness and value. For further details about the next intake or to secure your spot, please don't hesitate to email me. Let's embark on this transformative journey together! ✨ “What do you do for a living?”

It’s a question I’m often asked, and one that has never had a simple answer. Am I a nutritionist, a personal trainer, a witch, reiki/shamanic healer, a therapist??

After building my career in corporate management within banking and insurance, I chose to move into self-employment, where I now apply my experience to coach and mentor individuals, helping them achieve meaningful and sustainable growth.

My work spans multiple disciplines, and I adapt my approach depending on the individual in front of me. I draw upon a broad and evolving body of knowledge, combining lived experience, professional training, and intuitive understanding to support each client in a way that is tailored to them.

This ability to adapt did not come easily.

I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 46, after many years of trying to learn and function in ways that were not aligned with how my brain naturally works. Prior to my diagnosis, I approached learning through traditional, neurotypical methods, which often led to frustration and a sense of underachievement.

Receiving my diagnosis brought clarity, but it also surfaced unresolved experiences. It required me to revisit periods of my life where I had internalised beliefs of not being good enough, of failure, and of having let others down.

Therapeutic work played a significant role in my journey. It allowed me to process these experiences, develop self-acceptance, and redefine how I viewed myself — not through past behaviours, but through a more compassionate and informed perspective.

This experience shaped the foundation of my work.

I recognised that many individuals, particularly those diagnosed later in life, face similar challenges. As a result, I have created a space where clients are supported to be themselves, without pressure to conform to neurotypical expectations.

My work focuses on

• Recognising and developing individual strengths
• Reducing masking behaviours
• Supporting clients to work in alignment with their own cognitive and emotional processes
• Providing a safe, non-judgemental environment.

🌿 Alongside this, my spiritual practice has deepened my approach.

This work is not solely about positivity or surface-level wellbeing. It involves

• Addressing unresolved emotional experiences
• Shadow work and self-reflection
• Inner child work
• Developing healthy boundaries
• Cultivating acceptance and emotional resilience

It is about supporting individuals as whole people, rather than focusing solely on behaviours or symptoms.

🤍 In my sessions, I provide a calm and supportive environment where individuals can express themselves freely and feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood.

This journey has required significant personal commitment.

There have been periods of withdrawal, reflection, and deep internal work. I have consciously prioritised growth, ongoing education, and professional development in order to better support those I work with.

🌙 I am now approaching initiation as a Shamanic Practitioner, following two years of training under Ginny Brown. This marks an important milestone in my professional and personal development.

I’m currently training to be a Mary Madeline Priestess along side my twin/cousin Kate and preparing to begin Priestess Training in the Ancient Arts, as part of my continued commitment to growth and service.

This work is not just a profession — it is a vocation grounded in lived experience, continuous learning, and a genuine commitment to supporting others.

If you have ever felt that conventional approaches have not worked for you, it may simply be that you have not yet been supported in a way that aligns with who you are.

I’m still the same crazy, unique, quirky person, who gets the giggles at the most awkward times, and still loves banter and inappropriate with a potty mouth, iv just shifted some s**t and baggage that was no longer mine, and if you see me out and about, I will still have a pint with you and probably drink you under the table, you just won’t see me for a week after 😉🫣🤣

After a busy few months with the puppies, iv finally managed to have some time to get creative again.

Iv had this tummy bug the last few days and had no energy to do anything, but felt slightly better last night. I found this stone iv been looking for for ages, so decided to wrap it (at 11pm) 🫣 and wear it today as I’m working in the Temple with clients and at a workshop with my amazing teacher Ginny Brown. She has been the one that has paved the shamans path for me over the last 3 years, and incredible person who I would highly recommend. Her courses have taught me so much, and I wouldn’t be where I was without her huge amount of knowledge that I now bring into my spiritual practice.

I gifted this to someone, she is a protective angel doll, and was intuitively made. They absolutely loved it and has huge sentimental value to both myself and them.

Also drew Niyas angel guide with charcoal in the dark who I know is looking over her.

Had the most amazing Reiki Master attunement with Gill Rednedge, my Reiki Master who is the most incredible person who I absolutely adore and highly recommend.

Really looking forward to getting crafting again, and planning the up and coming craft workshops that I will be running once a month. These will include, Christmas angel decorations for the tree, crystal bracelet gift sets for Christmas, dreamcatchers, candle carving, create your own symbols/runes/fortune dice, corn/spirit dolls, essential oil creams/olis/roomsprays, wofters, and miniature wands/broomsticks for your witchy alters.

I will also be launching 3 of my own course that I have personally created these will be 12 - 18 month courses.

You Me And ADHD - How To Thrive And Feel Alive.

The Secret Guardian - The “Secrets” of A Secret Guardian.

Toogood Nutrition - Toogood Nutrition Behaviour And Lifestyle Project.

Launch dates and course content will be posted in November 💖

Much love

Sometimes we need to look at tasks in a totally different way, just to be able to visualise getting it finished. This can also correlate into how we eat, and the way we see food from an ADHD point of view.
