Just wanna share these cause I think they’re beautiful and depict a big love of mine: circus! (Don’t even talk to me about existential crisis I’ve been all over it in terms of life direction!). I love the freedom, inclusivity, creativity, exuberance and expansion this art form stands for. Always will have a special place in my heart 🍊 🌻

Snaps of WOMAD. Was so lucky to meet such legends. Thanks for a lush time.

The arboretum is very nice at the moment as well. Went there for a total CHILL afterwards, glittered, sweaty and satisfied.

♥️

Also did my first facials with 9 products 😯 🙌. Recommend these for really rejuvenated skin

Just arrived at WOMAD to give treatments. Mega sumptuous spa.. Many marvellous punters to come ❤️

Kim has got a good soul. Now nearly 30 and more likely to be in bed than a rave, she has changed from the self appointed reprobate of her early twenties, to someone who can pretty much own the title of a contented introvert, and a creative one at that.

Although known for her festival/activewear clothing brand Piffy TrickOut, who’s sales have sky rocketed since lockdown eased, Kim also has other tricks up her sleeve. She has recently held an art exhibition at CentreSpace gallery with an even more personally meaningful pursuit; mixed media artworks each representing a pivotal moment in her journey towards greater self awareness.

Kim would now like to continue to train as a tattoo artist (now learning Bhuddist thangka styles of drawing), and hopefully take her exhibition to London.

Overall, Kim has channelled her artistic nature into projects that she really cares about, and is now ready to share more of what is closest to her heart.

Check out work at , and her work from her exhibition..

Local legends are back!! 🌻 🕺

Introducing Tom: a driven, freestyling MC who is making a splash in the hip hop world. As an ex dancer this new creative venture allows him greater freedom and to make mistakes, and to turn it around with flair. Finding something that makes him feel totally at peace on stage has meant that his mission has really clicked into place: to bring clean, uplifting hip hop to the music world.

Part of duo -Coates, and signed with Rat Records (playing at Cosies on the 16th March), he believes that hip hop needs to move with the times. Although its undergoing a revival from its hay day in the 90’s, all the racism, homophobia, sexism and inauthentic shows of violence have got to go, and in its place lyrics that support hip hops true purpose of bringing people together.

Whilst Tom doesn’t want to taint his art form with it, it’s of course sometimes impossible to detach from social and political affairs. We spoke about Covid, charity shop price rises, masculinity, Prince Andrew, protests, efficiency, mental health. The systems broken, but we still to connect as human beings.

However, the people who spread this message are so often underpaid. 8000 streams on Spotify is equivalent to just £20 for the artist. Buying vinyl helps. Venues paying their musicians properly (like they do in Norway) also helps. Still, a shocking 80% earn less than £10,000. A world where at an auction people clap the money spent over the art is totally twisted. As a system, we need to give artists more status and respect.

Nevertheless, Tom is clearly going somewhere. He speaks of side hustles that have helped him through but ultimately the dream is to be able to live off his art. Experience as a part time barista and the ability to trip words off his tongue has culminated in the dream of owning a hip hop cafe on the beach. I’ve no doubt he’ll do it. One day he’ll chance on a random bar and one of his tracks will be played, and he’ll know he’s finally made it.

Listen to this clip for Tom’s commentary on music, his path, social issues, and a really ridiculous story about a frog. It’s actually really funny.

I’m back! And it’s good to be back in action.

Plenty of rest and ongoing reminders to slow the heck down are doing the trick 🐢

It’s lovely to be in the studio again, and using my body to help others feels good!

If you would like to treat yourself or another in the run up to Christmas the I am here 🎁

I am loving this book at the moment. It’s so good. It connects ‘bottom up’ approaches - body affecting mind - with ‘top down’ ones - mind affecting body. What this means is there are many ways and angles with which to get to the root of whatever you’re struggling with. Taking a 360 approach makes total sense to me, when we are so madly complex and interconnected as people. I’ve had many a light bulb moment with this and would recommend it to anyone who’s interested in how their mind, body and soul interrelate.

Beeswax candles from the lads themselves 🐝 with the addition of some autumn leaves 🍁 🍃 🍁 🍃

It’s so lush to be pottering around and playing with colours again after the sterility and busyness of the ward.

I am getting stronger each day and the usual treats of good food, nature and plenty of sleep is making all the difference.

Wow I can’t believe I’m back after 12 days of being in hospital. It’s difficult to sum up the experience into words. I am so grateful to all my family and friends for being so supportive and there for me during what was quite a difficult and scary time.

It’s sounds surreal to say but I fell ill with pneumonia, and had to go on a series of drips, antibiotics and painkillers after a persistent cough and a poorly timed 20k run meant that my body couldn’t heal well enough through rest. I pushed myself far beyond what it could easily cope with.

I have definitely learnt to slow down, take things e a s y, and listen to what my body has to say. This was a particularly rude awakening, but sometimes unfortunately these things are learnt the hard way.

I am feeling so much better now, and am taking some time to rest at my parents to relax and fully restore. For this reason I won’t be offering treatments for at least the next two weeks or so, but I will be in touch when I am feeling ready.

I know it sounds rich right now for me to say but do TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOURSELVES EVERYBODY; treat your body and mind like a delicate porcelain china pot, or a vulnerable little kitten. You are precious and oh so worth it. It could mean the difference between hitting rock bottom, or bobbing along at sea, as I hope this story shows.. takes one to know one after all..

Oh I also wanted to say how little things made a BIG difference whilst in hospital (see art, bunnykin, delicious food, music, a window view, visitors, messages of love, straws, clean hair) - and I got to wear my dressing gown and slippers in public almost every day, so it wasn’t all bad.

So much more to say but that’ll do for now.

Love you all ###x

About

Bodies are incredible! Not only do they carry out really complex physiological processes, but they also carry our stories: our pasts, our presents, and most importantly - our potential. They enable us to express ourselves, to move through the world and to achieve our goals. I am endlessly inspired by and trusting of the strength and love in people’s hearts, and the various ways in which we all contribute meaningfully to the wonderful city that is Bristol. Using a combination of holistic and remedial techniques, I will tailor your massage to suit you and your needs on the day of our session. There are no set routines, just an emphasis on collaboratively and sensitively working with you as an individual. My style tends to be quite slow and deep, because I’ve noticed how this allows my clients to relax into the treatment and reap the greatest benefits. If you have tension that needs releasing in your body, there is no doubt that having a massage will help you to feel more relaxed and at peace with yourself mentally, emotionally and energetically too.

Whether you simply want to relax and let go or have a specific musculoskeletal condition that could do with a more remedial approach - I am here to help.

For more information, please check out my website: www.imogenquilleymassage.com and to book, please give me a call on 07805445365, or send me a message on Facebook.

I look forward to hearing from you.
