Life is full of situations that are out of our control. We could be beset by a series of terrible circumstances that cause emotional pain, feelings of bewilderment, powerlessness and overwhelm. We are at the mercy of what life throws at us.
Although we may not be able to control events, we are able to work on our minds - how we respond to that which is causing us pain. Do we seize up, try to avoid or retreat? Or do we have the resources to face the situation with openness, courage and resolve?
Psychotherapy can help us face life’s challenges. It can provide a safe space to explore, enquire and reframe. It can allow us to untie the knot of our tensions and release our pain. Above all, it can help forge a path forward towards resilience and a resourceful centred ground of being.
