Did you know that we have our own Service Chapels?

Whilst we also conduct funerals at other venues, our Service Chapels in Brixham and Paignton offer a more relaxed and intimate setting to hold the funeral in compared to the Crematorium.

You can also combine a service here with a direct cremation - when the whole service takes place in the Service Chapel - this means that you can still create a personal funeral service but also benefit from the significantly lower cremation fee associated with a direct cremation.

We have a professional AV system too, so you can have music, slideshows and videos shared during the service for added personalisation.

Many people have contacted us about Conquerer Wood, the natural burial site formerly operated by Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust.

We understand that the uncertainty surrounding this is unsettling, and would encourage anyone who receives correspondence from the administrators to respond accordingly.

We have been advised that because the site was leasehold between TCCT and Torbay Council, any pre purchased graves are being added to the list of Creditors, and we sincerely hope that Torbay Council will honor the existing arrangements.

If you receive any correspondence regarding your pre purchased grave it is important that you respond as required.

If you are in the process of arranging a funeral, there are some questions you should ask:

Where will your loved rest?
Are the funeral directors accredited by SAIF?
Do they have their own premises,staff and vehicles?
What services do they provide ‘in house’?

There’s been a sharp increase in online only companies popping up, who operate by relying entirely on 3rd parties but still charge families “professional fees”. Some of these facades appear to be local through clever marketing techniques but operate from residential addresses.

There are so many things involved with providing excellent funeral arrangements, from the staff, specialist vehicles, industry standard mortuary and chapel of rest equipment and facilities to providing a wide range of products and memorial items, coffin styles, media systems, printing and stationary, IT and other online customer services.

Remember, not all funeral directors are the same. We always welcome you to come and see our facilities and discuss how we can offer the very best arrangements with complete control over the important services - we don’t rely on others to look after the deceased or provide the vehicles and staff.
