We have been celebrating Diwali by making our own candle lanterns, colouring in candles, and talking about the meaning and importance of the festival. 🕯️

Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is one of the most important festivals celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs, and Jains around the world. It symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. People celebrate by lighting lamps or candles, decorating their homes, exchanging sweets and gifts, and spending time with family and friends. For many, it’s also a time to reflect on kindness, gratitude, and new beginnings.

Yesterday, we visited the aquarium in Plymouth, where we enjoyed seeing a wide range of animals and learning about the important work being done there. We took a break for a drink at the Café and had a picnic halfway through our visit.
Majority of our residents were invited to join us and we look forward to planning another visit. ☺️

▫️Always happy and smiling, goes out of her way to solve any problems.
▫️Always makes an effort in making residents feel safe and happy.

We have implemented an Employee of the Month programme to recognise those who go the extra mile. This will be prominently displayed in our front hall. We invite all staff, residents, relatives, and friends to submit nominations by leaving a name and a brief explanation of why the individual deserves this title for the month. The silver suggestion box is located in the front hall. ☺️
