Douglas House - Valorum Care Our home is an attractive two-storey house in the beautiful fishing town of Brixham, on the Devon coast.

We specialise in supporting people who have varying needs as a result of physical & long term neurological conditions including cancer care, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, epilepsy, brain injury, Huntington’s disease, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson's disease, spina bifida & hydrocephalus and stroke. Our Registered Nurse teams are highly skilled and trained to deliver specialist and complex nursing care and have significant experience with tracheostomy, PEG/NG care, wound management and the provision of end of life care. The full-time support we provide is flexible and designed to help build skills, inspire confidence and empower. We work directly with each individual to develop a personalised support programme based on their needs, wishes and aspirations. This includes personal care, health & wellbeing programmes, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, community engagement, enablement, volunteering and activities.
