At this time of the year, the Earth is in balance and invites us to rest and reset. Marking the start of an introspective period of reflection which presents the opportunity for wisdom and growth. In nature, the leaves remind us of how to let go gracefully and embrace the natural cycles. As not only do the season's change but so do we and our lives. The key is to honour the rhythms of life and work in alignment with mother nature.🍁🍂

Nicola and Demi invite you to join their Autumn Equinox workshop with the theme of self-care and gratitude, including;
🍁 A Balancing Yoga Flow to align with the energetic shift of this time of the year - ground down and prepare for rest.

🍂 Guided Meditation with essential oils.

🍁 Journal Ritual writing what we are grateful for so far this year.

🍂 Letting Go Fire Ceremony.

We will be around a beautifully dressed Altar in the zen garden outside the barns for the duration so bring warm clothes and blankets along with your mat if you have one and a notepad or journal.

There will be time at the end of the workshop for herbal tea around the fire with homemade cake and Demi will have her oracle cards!

You won't want to miss this magical experience. This workshop is an outdoor event so we will keep you updated if needed in regards to weather.

Hold. On. Pain. Ends.

As I sit and reflect on myself & who I am today.. the parts of me that I said goodbye too; and the parts of me that I am still working on letting go of… there’s so much of me that has changed on every level, down to my core. I have more to shed & work on, but I now have the awareness needed to do so. I think about how life is too short to keep going in circles for longer than we need too. It comes & goes so fast.

My biggest piece of life advice is to focus on yourself, your growth, & making the most out of this life. Be your biggest support, be your best friend, be your loudest cheerleader. No one else is going to bring this strength to you. No one else can heal you. Support will take you a long way, but delving deep, reflecting, being accountable & taking responsibility is what will change things for you. If you don’t make changes, nothing will change.

I know there are times in life that we have no hope, life feels heavy and dark, I encourage you to sit in that darkness, but don’t stay there.. get comfortable with being uncomfortable as life encompasses a whole range of emotions which enable us to feel whole, sadness & anger are part of them, but it’s about moving to a place of feeling it & letting it go again, not letting it control and take over.

It’s feeding your soul, doing things for YOU that make you feel like YOU. It’s coming back to the breath, the very moment that you’re in, being alive, appreciating each and every inhale and exhale, grounding and centring yourself & remembering that you’re an important part of something much bigger. It’s moving your body, letting the energy flow, connecting to your nervous system through dance, movement, touch & so much more!! It’s walking barefoot, connecting to nature. Remembering that you are part of the divine & a light does indeed shine inside of you.

I know it’s not easy & share this post with no judgment but from life experience myself, I believe it provides so much peace and joy that it’s a journey well worth taking. Start with baby steps, get to know who you really are, & learn to love yourself like you’ve never loved before. You deserve it.

Hello 👋🏼

I thought I’d come and say hello for any new or existing followers, show my face and share a bit about me.

My name is Demi, as you may have guessed by the name! I’m 29, living in Cornwall, I’m from Devon originally and hope to work between the two. I work for the NHS as Peer Support within the Eating Disorder Service, where I also get to use my Mindfulness skills!

My passion is in healing the mind body and soul, connecting within, finding our power and helping people heal themselves and find that light and wisdom within.

I was fortunate enough to grow up with a rather hippy mumma, and she lived and breathed all things holistic and brought me up this way. I did yoga with her as a child at home and at classes, I had homeopathy instead of medication, spent a lot of time in nature and around some soul uplifting healers.

All of this set the foundations for my life today, how I manage myself, my coping mechanisms and my outlook on life.

The things I teach have guided and supported me with my Endometriosis, to become someone that hardly suffers compared to previous daily agony.

Additionally, Life has brought me a whirlwind of experiences, some traumatic life events, lost a lot of loved ones, experienced the harsh reality of alcohol and substance abuse with myself and family, and I’ve had a wide range of mental health challenges along that journey that started as a kid who didn’t really ever understand herself or her behaviour and actions.

I got diagnosed neurodiverse with ADHD as an adult. This helped me understand and educate myself to grow and heal, but ultimately still brings challenges to my life. Without what I do now, I don’t know how I would manage myself, how I’d be able to stop and slow down and just BREATHE and really find peace within.

My mission is to continue to learn and grow within myself, to expand what I know, to share my experiences to help others, to have a voice so you know you’re not alone, to be as accessible as I can, as friendly and understanding as I can and LIVE IN LOVE.

Good Morning!

Happy Bank Holiday 🌸 I hope you’re enjoying it whatever you may be doing!

I thought I’d start my morning sharing the 5 principles that underpin the foundations of Reiki. In essence they’re saying:

1, it’s ok to feel anger, but let it go because it only really affects you, negatively, and can cause blockages.

2, again with worry, acknowledge it if it’s there, but then let it go, it serves no purpose and take us from the present moment, and again is an energy block.

3, be grateful, and start counting as there might be many more things than you anticipated once you start to take notice, you’ll feel an abundance of gratitude.

4, live and work honestly, be true to yourself in all that you do, find your purpose and share it, work doesn’t have to be hard or unfulfilling, especially not when it feels fully true to you!

5, be kind, to every living thing. Not just to those we choose, not just to humans, or to the animals we ‘like’ but to the spiders and flies we find in our homes, the snails and worms we encounter gardening, they’re all living beings and a part of this universe as much as us.

These principles, they guide me and have taught me to stay present, take each day as it comes and embrace each new day to the fullest, to become aware of my emotions, checking in what I’m carrying or what may need to be let go of, to have the gratitude attitude and the difference it makes to your brain. The ability to see things with love that maybe I had been naive too before, the ethics to work hard for what I want to achieve and keeping me aligned to my true path. Ultimately they’ve given me some really healthy daily reminders to keep my energy balanced, grounded and living in love.

Hello beautiful people 🌸

I wanted to do a May Day post, but I didn’t quite get around too it. Oooops. How are you all?! Are you enjoying the brighter and lighter days? Nature is blooming all around us, what a magical time.

I just wanted to jump on and say that I keep intending to come on here and create more, I will continue to work towards that, but I genuinely find it so hard. I put so much pressure on myself, create posts and then doubt myself and delete them.. I guess I will never be someone that prioritises social media, because for me it’s about being present and self connection, and doing all of that takes me away from the self.

However, with that being said, I’m consciously trying to really think about what might really help, to read, or to see, or to practice together. But I’m still very much doubting myself here. So bear with because MORE is coming.

I’ve scheduled some time in the studio to record, and am actively working on a better set up at home so that I have a suitable space to be able to jump on easily, and share with you all.

The purpose of me learning and knowing these tools and techniques is to share with you beautiful souls, to promote growth, empowerment, resilience self healing and internal strength and most importantly to let your light shine, unapologetically 🌸🦋💜

Are you feeling stuck? Do you want to break free? Create some new healthier routines and coping mechanisms? Do you want to feel more connected to yourself? Do you want to manage pain? Do you want to feel grounded and in the present moment? Do you want to support your hormones? Do you find yourself blocking out emotions or fighting away how you feel? Are you finding yourself stuck in your own head?

MINDFULNESS brings you out of your head and into your body. It connects your body, mind and soul. It enables you to feel whole, at one with the world. Grounding you to the earth, while creating lightness within you. It anchors you in the present moment, helping you to mentally arrive where you are. It allows you to sit with uncomfortable emotions, feeling it and releasing it, without trying to fight it. Mindfulness is a kind and loving gentle approach, promoting self love, self compassion and acceptance. It manages pain is used to support chronic illness and pain.

The evidence is there, mindfulness is being used more widely across the world each day, in healthcare settings, in workplaces, there is a growing awareness of the huge impact that simply just stopping, breathing and noticing what goes on for you has for your mental and physical well-being.

Also, it takes time and practice! I remember hating connecting to my breath and body because it felt so uncomfortable, remember we will never reach comfort without pushing through the discomfort.

If you read this far, right now, stop what you’re doing. Take a deep inhale, feel the air travel in your nose, down your throat, into your chest and deep down into your tummy. Hold. And softly exhale, longer than your inhale, notice the air coming back out, warmer than it entered your body. Allow your exhale to be a relaxing release, and notice your body soften and relax that little bit further with each exhale.
