🌟 HOPE Programme – Starting 26th February 🌟

Are you living with sensory loss and looking for support, understanding, and practical ways to cope?

The HOPE Programme (Help Overcoming Problems Effectively) is a six-week programme starting on 26th February, held at Paignton Library.

🕐 Time: 1:00 – 3:30pm each week

💬 What makes HOPE different?

This programme is delivered by people with lived experience of sensory loss, creating a safe, supportive space to:

• Share experiences
• Build confidence and resilience
• Learn practical strategies for everyday challenges
• Connect with others who truly understand

📍 Where: Paignton Library

📅 When: From 26th February

⏳ Duration: 6 weeks

🤝 Who: Adults living with sensory loss

Yesterday we launched Rapid Health and we wanted to share how our first day went using the new online forms, and we’re really pleased with the results

Out of 313 total requests received:
🩺 123 Medical requests were actioned by our team (39.3%)
📱 121 Patients completed a form themselves and were offered an appointment to choose from (38.7%)
❓ 32 patients had their queries for the doctor, nurse or receptionist answered by the “Ask us a question” option (7.7%)
🗂 We dealt with 37 Admin requests (11.8%)

This means that nearly 40% of all contacts were successfully self-booked by patients, which is a fantastic start and shows how well everyone is adapting to the new system.

We’re also happy to say that the remaining requests were quickly picked up and resolved by our admin and clinical teams.

💡 Top tips for using the new forms:

✔️ Please make sure your email address is correct on our system so you don’t miss any updates. Please check your emails for offered appointment times and links to book
✍️ Try to be as accurate when describing your symptoms, sometimes inaccurate symptoms will triage the appointment down a different pathway and not allow you to book an appointment.
📞 If you’re unsure, you can always call us – but if you feel able, please do have a go at using the form first.
⏳ Call waiting times may be slightly longer over the next few weeks while our teams and patients get used to the new way of working.

Thank you for your patience, support, and feedback. We know that for some patients the experience may not have felt completely smooth, and we recognise that no system is perfect.

However, day one has still been a success in our eyes because every patient received reassurance, guidance, or clear next steps by the end of the day about where they would be seen or how their needs would be supported.

We are pleased to let you know that from 12 January 2026 we will be moving from our current Klinik online system to a new, improved service called Rapid Health. Rapid Health is designed to make accessing care easier, faster, and more efficient.

Most importantly, in many cases, you will be able to see and book available appointments immediately after completing your form.

Here’s a brief overview of the new system.
