Mapping What Matters – Pilot Project
D&S IFCA is helping to promote a Defra/Cefas supported project – Mapping what Matters.

At drop-in sessions running 5–9th January 2026, fishermen will be able to mark grounds and transit routes important to them and explain why they matter – for example, income, safety, heritage, family traditions, and community identity.

Not long to go!
Join us on Saturday morning for a self care morning with Nel & Jen.
Gentle pilates followed by a relaxing Mindfulness session.
We are meeting at Brixham Laboratory reception 10.20am to start 10.30am there will be a short break after Pilates and Mindfulness will continue up to 12.30
You will need to wear comfortable clothes, bring a mat and water.
Donations accepted for Healthy Minds Torbay.

We prefer to know if you are joining us but you can pop along at 10.20am on the day.

Afterwards you might like to pop into Brixham to take in the street market and fun as part of the start of the town's festive celebrations.

Congratulations to D.D Electrical “Cable Guys” for taking the win in Part 1 and to our overall champions of the night, Daqlog Systems Ltd “Team Scorpion” - first time attending too 👏🏆

Our quiz nights are always lots of fun with some friendly competition too! This one was in fact our highest attended yet, reaching full capacity! 🙌🏼

It’s that time again! Our ever-popular Brixham Laboratory Quiz Night is back - bringing together our 27 tenant organisations for an evening of fun, friendly competition, and great company.

We love hosting these events a few times a year for our tenants to give everyone a chance to connect outside of work and show off their quiz skills!

🌊 Public Consultation: Proposed Scientific Platform

Join us at Brixham Laboratory on 19th November 15:00–16:45 to learn more about a planned scientific platform south of Plymouth Sound. It will make an important contribution to the development of ocean renewables. This includes understanding the potential impact of renewable infrastructure on marine life and the wider environment.

The ACTOR (At-sea Capability Testing for Offshore Renewables) project is a collaboration between the University of Plymouth, Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, and Plymouth Marine Laboratory.
