Exciting News!
Tidal Physiotherapy is featured on BBC News today, showcasing our “Fishing for Better Health” clinics, held every three months down on the Quay. These sessions have already led to some fantastic success stories – including Tom here, whose full rehab I managed. During his recovery, I was also able to spot early signs of an infection right in clinic.

As chartered physiotherapists, we’re trained not only to treat musculoskeletal (MSK) issues but also to identify important “red flags” that could indicate something more serious.

“On 16th July 2025, 10 of my family members flew to Zakynthos for a family holiday and we were all having the time of our lives. On 22nd July my brother Elias was taken ill and was admitted to hospital. On 23rd July he was transferred to the ICU dept at the general hospital.

He was diagnosed with life threatening Sepsis and had multiple organ failure. It’s been a massive fight and battle for him and the ICU staff. However, we’re now told he’s stable enough to be repatriated back to the UK. He is still sedated and on a ventilator but he’s stable to fly via ICU air ambulance. But this as you know has a massive cost.

We’ve been quoted between €36k/€38k.

We’ve also had his insurance advise us that he omitted to list some medication he had been taking and so his policy is now void. We find ourselves fully self funding everything including the €2200 bill from the medical centre who first treated him before he was transferred to the state hospital.

We are desperate to get him home. Our funding page is doing well, currently sitting at £18000 of a £25000 target which we now know is nowhere what we actually need.

We were hoping you may be able to share our funding page or help in any way possible to help us get Elias home.”
