Where has this decade gone ? This year marks ten years since we bought our building here in Broadford and converted it in to our funeral home . In that ten years I have been humbled by the support shown by the people of Skye, Lochalsh and Wester Ross . Farquhar is currently the longest serving full time funeral director working and living on Skye . Two of my team David and Cameron have been with me since day one and we were later joined by Andrew , I am so blessed with my team we all work together and I could not ask for better so a huge thanks from me to them .
We hope to serve for many years yet as the only family owned independent funeral directors on Skye .

We have been Offering A £200 Reduction On Traditional Funerals For Blue Light Card Holders. Police, NHS, Fire & Rescue , RNLI, Coastguard etc for over 5 years now and are still offering this as just a small mark of respect and gratitude from us for your service which is always appreciated.

Please remember our prices include everything that we do for you , we don’t charge extra for Saturday funerals or for collecting out of hours , viewing out of hours etc etc . The price we say is the price you pay .

This is the part of the job that people either don’t think about or dont know about , when the phone rings at 3 am when everyone else is sleeping or at 9 pm on a Friday night when a lot of people are out enjoying a meal with friends the funeral directors rise to the call and rush to assist families . Spare a thought for all funeral directors everywhere .

People often say oh I could not do your job, it’s not a job it is a calling . When someone phones in distress at losing a loved one at 3 am we are the ones that go to them to try to assist them in whatever way we can . We also think families should have choices so we have various colours of cords as well as the choice of black or silver hearse
As an independent funeral director our reputation means everything so we always go that extra mile . I am so blessed with my team , I have had the same team forever and have never lost a team member yet . They are so dedicated to the families we serve and always make me proud .

It is important when comparing funeral directors costs that you compare like for like . Our charges are fixed , an unattended cremation is £1695 with collection any time and anywhere Skye , Lochalsh or Wester Ross and includes an oak veneer coffin .
Our burial funeral is £3600 to include collection any time and any where Skye , Lochalsh or Wester Ross and includes an oak veneer flat lid panel side coffin with metal handles , 8 cords , engraved nameplate and grave marker , viewing any time and as many times as required , movement of coffin as many times as requested to house or place of worship and black or silver hearse . We have 2 custom built Mercedes private ambulances to bring your loved one in to our care with total respect . We also have a choice of black or silver Mercedes hearses .
All of our coffins apart from our wicker/ seagrass are made in Scotland to the highest of standards.
Our prices are fixed , when you choose one of our packages everything is included in the price we quote you .
As independent funeral directors we believe we offer a more personal service , we offer live streaming free of charge , viewings free of charge , collection outwith office hours at no extra charge , funerals on a Saturday at no extra charge .
