Embrace the Wintertime

Plants and animals don’t fight the winter; they don’t pretend it’s not happening and attempt to carry on living the same lives that they lived in the summer. They prepare. They adapt. They perform extraordinary acts of metamorphosis to get them through.
Winter is a time of withdrawing from the world, maximising scant resources, carrying out acts of brutal efficiency and vanishing from sight; but that’s where the transformation occurs.
Winter is not the death of the life cycle, but its crucible. Once we stop wishing it were summer, winter can be a glorious season in which the world takes on a sparse beauty and even the pavements sparkle.
It’s a time for reflection and recuperation, for slow replenishment, for putting your house in order.

5 homeopathic remedies that can be used to treat hay fever

🌾 Arsenicum Album
Strong indications for Arsenicum Album are burning or itching in the nose, eyes or throat. There are burning discharges from both the eyes and nose. Strong pointers towards Arsenicum Album are restlessness, anxiousness, and increased thirst drinking little and often.

🌾 Allium Cepa
For streaming eyes and nose with much sneezing. The nasal discharge is burning, leaving the upper lip area sore. The eyes may be watery but not sore. Symptoms improve in the fresh air and there may be light sensitivity.

🌾 Euphrasia
There is lots of sneezing with streaming eyes and nose. Although this sounds the same as Allium Cepa, the symptoms are the opposite. The watery eyes are burning, leaving them sore and red, whereas the nasal discharge is bland. Symptoms may feel better in the fresh air and there may be sensitivity to light.

🌾 Natrum Muriaticum
People needing Natrum Muriaticum are sensitive to the sunshine. These people burn easily and generally feel uncomfortable in the sun which can leave their skin blotchy and irritated. Nasal discharge can be thick and clear, like egg white, and there can be a loss of taste and smell.

🌾 Nux Vomica
A strong indication for Nux Vomica is someone who is irritable and bad tempered with their hay fever. Symptoms are worse in the dry air and better in a damper atmosphere.

🌾 Pulsatilla
The nose is often blocked only on one side with yellow-green, thick, bland discharge. The person may be in a weepy and needy mood.
