The building does not make our home, our people do. We are a family run business with over twenty years’ experience. Our team has owned, operated and managed a number of successful care homes in the South East of England. From the beginning, our objective was simple; to deliver the highest quality care from a dedicated team in a safe, modern and warm environment. And if we’re being honest… this one is really all about Santa having an absolutely wonderful time 🎅😂

From big smiles and festive cheer to plenty of laughter shared with residents, relatives and our team, it was one of those moments that perfectly sums up the joy of the season ❤️

Last night we got into the Christmas spirit with a lovely festive party here at Chartwell House 🎄✨

Residents, relatives and our team all came together to enjoy a wonderful evening filled with music, laughter and plenty of Christmas cheer 💛🎶

A huge thank you to Ozzie and the Uglies for coming along to perform for us, you had everyone smiling, singing along and tapping their feet! 👏🎤

Add in lots of festive snacks, warm company and a cosy atmosphere, and it truly was a really special evening shared together 🎅🥨✨

What a busy and joy-filled week it’s been here at Chartwell House 💛✨

Our home has been filled with music, laughter and some truly special moments, and Thursday night was one to remember! 🎶😂

We had the absolute privilege of hosting a veterans-friendly evening on Thursday, welcoming Mike and Michael, two ex-Marine veterans, who treated us to a short comedy sketch. Safe to say, it was very funny, wonderfully relatable and had plenty of smiles (and giggles!) all round 😄👏

The evening then continued with a fantastic performance from the incredibly talented Glee Club, who swept us straight into the festive spirit with a medley of Christmas songs 🎄🎤 There was singing along, toe tapping and lots of happy faces, just how we like it!

A big thank you to Karen Brinkman for coming down to support with her veterans, we’re so grateful for your time and for helping make the evening so special 🇬🇧💙

And of course… no perfect evening would be complete without hot chocolate and mince pies ☕🥧 A cosy finish to a heart-warming night shared together.

Moments like these are what make Chartwell House feel so special 💫

What a truly lovely way to start the week 💆‍♀️💛

At the beginning of the week, residents at Chartwell House enjoyed the most relaxing pamper morning ✨ Warm towels gently placed on faces, cool cucumber slices for tired eyes 🥒, soothing hand and arm massages, and for some, a simple but comforting hair brush 💇‍♀️💆‍♂️

The room was calm, peaceful, and filled with that wonderful sense of comfort and care 🌿 Sometimes, it’s important to slow down, rest, and let someone show you a little TLC, and that’s exactly what this morning was all about 💕

🌟 So proud to support the next generation of care professionals! 🌟

Recently, Jude, our wonderful Admissions Manager at Chartwell House, had the absolute pleasure of being invited to East Kent College, Broadstairs Campus, to act as a judge for their Health & Social Care student competition 🎓💙

Jude is always delighted to champion the incredible work the college does, so she was more than happy to accept the invitation. Chartwell House and East Kent College share a long-standing, mutually beneficial relationship 🤝

The competition itself was truly inspiring! Students showcased thoughtful, creative empowerment resources across a range of meaningful topics, from supporting independence in older adults 🧓💪 and empowering young carers, to mental health awareness 🧠💚, learning disabilities, cultural empowerment, and education around care plans and patient rights.

With the top students progressing through multiple rounds, and potentially going on to represent East Kent at county level, the passion, insight, and commitment on display was incredible to see 🌟

We’re so proud to play a small part in encouraging future talent and strengthening the links between education and care. Supporting learning, opportunity, and real-world experience is all part of creating a brighter future for social care 💫

Our fourth annual Festive Food Pantry was another incredibly special day last weekend 🎁💫

Held at St Christopher’s Church, Newington, alongside Chartwell House Care Home and the Parish of St Laurence, the event brought our community together for a cause close to all our hearts ❤️

Thanks to the amazing generosity of Chartwell House friends, families and local businesses, we were able to support many local families facing food poverty this Christmas 🎄🛍️

It was lovely to welcome Bishop Rose, who joined us on the day and saw first-hand the very real difference that kindness and community spirit can make 🤝✨

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered and lent a helping hand, moments like these remind us just how powerful a caring community can be 💛

🎄✨ A Festive Week of Togetherness at Chartwell House ✨🎄

We’ve got two lovely events coming up this week at Chartwell House, and we’d be so pleased to welcome you 💖

Veterans Evening – Thursday
🕠 5:30pm – 7:00pm
Our Veterans Evening is all about offering a relaxed, welcoming space for veterans to come together, connect and enjoy each other’s company. The evening will also feature a special Christmas performance from the wonderful Glee Club, adding a festive touch 🎶🎄

🎅🎶 Residents & Relatives Christmas Party – Friday
🕓 4:00pm – 6:00pm
It wouldn’t be Christmas without a proper party! Our Residents and Relatives Christmas Party promises plenty of festive cheer, smiles and laughter, with live entertainment from the incredible Ozzie And The Uglies 🎸✨

Two evenings, two wonderful opportunities to connect and share some Christmas joy. We hope to see you there 🤍

We had such festive fun with Charlie this morning, he brought a smile to every single face in the room! 🎅🎶💛

It was our last session with him for the year, and what a wonderful note to end on. Thank you, Charlie, for filling our home with so much joy, warmth and laughter. We appreciate you more than you know 🤗✨

Thanks to your kindness, we’re hoping to make a real difference for families who could use a little extra support this festive season. Every tin, treat and thoughtful item helps, and tomorrow, we’ll be proudly passing that kindness on to those who need it most 💫✨

🎄✨ The festive spirit is well and truly flowing… and so are the donations! ✨🎄
We’re getting everything ready for our Festive Food Pantry tomorrow at St Christopher’s Church, Newington (10am–2pm), and we’re feeling incredibly grateful today. 💛

A huge thank you to Cross Roads for the wonderful work they do supporting carers, including the counselling sessions they run here at Chartwell House each week. Your kindness truly makes a difference. 💙

And another heartfelt thank you to Thanet Earth for once again donating an abundance of fresh, beautiful produce for local families. 🥕🍅🫑 Your generosity means the world.
