What started out as a spooky Halloween quiz quickly turned into an impromptu singing and dancing session and we loved every minute of it! 💃🕺

The room was full of laughter, music, and smiles from everyone taking part. It’s safe to say the Halloween spirit was truly alive and well here at Chartwell House! 🧡🖤

🪔💛 A Sparkling Diwali Celebration at Chartwell House! 💛🪔

This afternoon, our home was filled with colour, laughter and celebration as we came together to mark the beautiful festival of Diwali- the Festival of Lights ✨

Residents and team members enjoyed a wonderfully creative afternoon painting traditional clay pots, colouring vibrant Diwali designs, and even being treated to stunning Henna art 💅🎨

We also took time to learn about the meaning and traditions of Diwali, before finishing the celebration in true Chartwell style, with plenty of music and dancing, led joyfully by our lovely Athira! 💃🎶

It was a truly heart-warming afternoon celebrating light, love and togetherness everything Diwali represents 💖

💃🎵 Move over Strictly… Chartwell House has the real stars of the dancefloor! 🎵💃

Yesterday’s Exercise to Music session was absolutely bursting with energy we danced our way through all the classic party tunes, old and new, and filled the room with smiles, laughter and some seriously funky moves! 😄✨

From toe-tapping classics to modern favourites, everyone got involved, proving that when the music starts, age really is just a number! 🎶💪

We love how our staff and residents embrace these moments of fun and fitness it’s all about staying active, connected and full of joy ❤️

🐝💖 Boo-Bees are buzzing at Chartwell House! 💖🐝

Yesterday, our creative residents and team got to work designing our very own “Boo-Bees” t-shirts ahead of our Wear It Pink 🎀 Breast Cancer Awareness event, taking place on Friday 24th October, 10:30am–12:30pm.

The room was filled with laughter and paint, as everyone got stuck into creating something fun for a fantastic cause 💕

Our Boo-Bees t-shirts will be available to purchase for a minimum £5 donation, with all proceeds going to support Breast Cancer Now.

Today we opened our doors for our Community Hub Day, bringing together local organisations and residents for an afternoon full of learning, connection and support 🤝

The purpose of our Hub Day was to provide valuable information to local veterans and the wider community, helping everyone feel more equipped to navigate life’s ever-changing challenges 💪

We were joined by an incredible line-up of guests, including:
💳 Barclays Bank – sharing advice on how to stay safe from fraud and scammers
👁️ Diabetic Eye Screening – offering important health information
🧠 East Kent Mind – supporting mental wellbeing in our community
🏃‍♀️ Home Links Physio – promoting movement and recovery

🔥 Kent Fire & Rescue Service – keeping us fire-safe

🌷 A Blooming Lovely Afternoon at Chartwell House! 🌷

Yesterday, we were treated to something truly special, the wonderful Taz from Simply Floral Florist joined us for a fabulous flower arranging demonstration 💐
But this wasn’t just any flower arranging session… Taz was busy designing our very own Chartwell House Bouquet! 🌿✨ A beautiful arrangement inspired by the colours, warmth, and charm of our home and we’re thrilled to share that it will be going on sale very soon!

One of our residents, Brenda, who used to be a florist herself, absolutely loved the experience 🌹💖 It brought back so many happy memories for her and she was full of wonderful tips and insights to share with us all!
A huge thank you to Taz for bringing such creativity, joy, and fragrance into our home. Our residents loved learning the art of flower arranging and watching this unique bouquet come to life 🌼

Elvis himself (well an incredible tribute!) visited us, and he was truly amazing! From the moment he arrived, everyone was smiling, singing along, and feeling the full energy of rock and roll. He really brought the music and the fun straight into our home, creating an unforgettable afternoon for all. 💛
