Happy Red Nose Day from all of us at Copperfield Court! ❤️

Our lovely ladies had a wonderful time decorating cakes, full of smiles, laughter and a few tasty treats along the way! TK Maxx staff kindly bought our residents’ cakes to support Red Nose Day, selling over 60 cupcakes to the Westwood cross store!

As one of the biggest supporters of Red Nose Day, TK Maxx also generously donated Winnie the Pooh Red Nose Day tops for both our residents and staff – which we absolutely loved as it’s Winnie the Pooh’s 100th birthday this year! 🍯

A huge thank you to the Manager and all the team at TK Maxx for being so incredibly supportive.

Mother’s Day at Copperfield Court 💐

We had such a lovely day celebrating together, starting with a delicious Mother’s Day roast followed by an afternoon tea party full of music, dancing, laughter, and smiles. Our staff were treated to tulips and chocolates, and our wonderful mums and nannies received gifts and sweet treats from us all.

With homemade cakes, goodies, and tulip biscuits enjoyed by everyone, it was so special to have over 15 families join us—sharing such a warm, fun, and memorable day together 💖

Spring is on the way at Copperfield Court! 🌸

Residents have been helping us get the home ready for the new season by refreshing our bistro area and choosing where flowers and ornaments should be placed to brighten the space and giving ideas for our new spring bistro board!

In the afternoon, our Gardening Club planted their own flowers and vegetables, including chillies, tomatoes and peppers. 🌶️🫑

Eric shared, “Spring is my favourite time of year – getting back into the garden and watching everything grow.”

Residents will be checking on the plants every few days, and in the coming weeks we look forward to sharing our gardening journey and seeing how everything grows. 🌱

🌟 A Wonderful Day Connecting With Our Community - National Pie Week 🥧💛

Today was a truly heart-warming day spent out in the community with some of our wonderful residents.

This morning we visited the MiCommunity Shop in Margate with Elaine, one of our lovely residents. We arrived armed with a selection of homemade pies for John, who runs this fantastic social shop. While we were there, we also had the pleasure of meeting Joe, who certainly embraced the pie 🥧, and Lexi, one of John’s brilliant volunteers.

This social shop is a real hidden treasure and was very busy this morning. There is truly nothing that John doesn’t have in the shop, and everyone is made to feel welcome. It was a pleasure to meet the team and we will certainly be visiting again soon at their shop by the Victoria traffic lights.

This afternoon we visited Birchington Library where we met Naydene, who runs the wonderful Heart in the Community. We spent time with several lovely people from their MindSpace group, who were delighted to receive homemade pies to take home and enjoy for their tea.

It was a truly special experience meeting such interesting and inspiring people and hearing their stories and experiences. Naydene is a truly inspirational lady and the people of Thanet are very lucky to have her by their side. 💛

A couple of our residents joined the visits today and Elaine said it was “eye-opening and amazing to give something back to the community.”
Days like today remind us how important kindness, connection and community really are. 🏡✨

🌸 A Colourful Day at Copperfield Court 🌸

Today was all about colour, creativity, and smiles here at Copperfield Court Care Home 💛
Our morning began with a lovely flower-arranging session, where residents created beautiful displays for our bistro area. As we slowly approach spring, it was the perfect opportunity to enjoy the fresh scent of flowers, the stimulating colours, and to give residents real input into how our home looks and feels 🌼🌷

In the afternoon, the fun continued with a lively game of balloon tennis! There was plenty of laughter as residents got active, kept moving, and enjoyed a friendly bit of competition 🎈😄

A wonderful day filled with creativity, activity, and shared joy — moments like these truly brighten our home 💐💙

🥞 Pancake Day Fun at Copperfield Court 🥞

What an absolutely fantastic Pancake Day we had on Tuesday at Copperfield Court! The day was filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of flipping fun as residents took part in a pancake-flipping competition. A huge congratulations to Heather, who was crowned our winner with an impressive 33 flips – amazing! 👏✨

The fun didn’t stop there. In the afternoon, everyone enjoyed decorating their pancakes before tucking in, and it was lovely to see relatives getting involved and sharing the joy with us.

A truly heart-warming day full of togetherness, fun, and laughter – memories we’ll all cherish 🥰🥞💛

💖 What an amazing Valentine’s weekend at Copperfield Court Care Home 💖

We have had the most wonderful Valentine’s celebrations filled with love, laughter, and special moments shared together. Our weekend kicked off with the fantastic Tara the Singer, who had residents singing along, dancing, and enjoying every moment as we danced the afternoon away Friday 💃🎤.

We Made Valentines cards for loved one to start of the day itself! The joy and smiles truly filled the room.

This was followed by a beautiful love-themed afternoon tea, where residents enjoyed delicious treats, lovely company, and a warm, romantic atmosphere 🫖❤️. To top it all off, we ended the celebrations with a cinema evening, creating a cosy and relaxing end to a perfect Valentine’s weekend 🎬🍿.

At Copperfield Court Care Home, we love creating meaningful experiences that bring happiness, connection, and treasured memories for our residents. Thank you to all the staff who helped make this Valentine’s weekend so special 💕✨

This week, we took a trip to Thanet Food Link donate and support those less fortunate within the Thanet area. We had the pleasure of meeting Heather, the manager, who does an incredible amount of behind-the-scenes work to keep the service running, as well as four wonderful volunteers. As a small thank you for their hard work and dedication, we brought cupcakes along for them to enjoy. 🧁

We’re proud to have built a new partnership with Thanet Food Link and will be donating regularly to help support their ongoing needs. There are many donation centres across Thanet, including Cliftonville Community Centre, St Peter’s Church, and others, all working tirelessly to support the local community. This visit was a powerful reminder that there are so many people around us who need support, and even small acts of kindness can make a real difference. 🥘💚
