Wychdene Residential Home

Wychdene Residential Home is a long-term residential care home for the placement of older people aged 65 onwards. It specialises in providing support to males and females who can no longer live on their own and require help with washing, mobility and all aspects of personal care. is set in large gardens edged by trees a short walk from broadstairs town centre, which is located on the Kent coast, close to broadstairs beach. thee are many events taking place throughout the year in broadstairs; Dickens Festival in June, Sea Sunday in July, Broadstairs Folk Week in August, and the November 5th Family Fireworks Event to name but a few. The proprietors and managers aim to provide a high standard of care and support without encroaching on the individual's right to privacy or choice. All residents have individual person-centred care plans. Visitors are welcomed at any time and light refreshments are provided. Wychdene is designed over three floors; all the corridors are wide and we have an eight person lift enabling us to provide accommodation to residents with wheelchairs or walking aids. There is a separate dinning room and the kitchen provides good home cooking for nutritional and preferred diets.
