BE SAFE BE STEADY

@ The Junction Sport and Leisure Centre, Broadstone 🚂

Tuesday’s from 1pm - 2pm

A fun and stimulating session to:

- [ ] Enhance mobility
- [ ] Reduce tremors
- [ ] Increase your self-assurance when performing daily activities
- [ ] Slow the course of Parkinson's disease by increasing your energy levels.

It's meant to complement, not replace, your medication.

Who is this class for ? 💟❤️‍🔥💪

Anyone with Dementia, Parkinson’s etc, friends and family members are welcome. The benefit of taking part in these classes can include:

- [ ] They keep us fit and flexible
- [ ] They strengthen muscles and keep us walking well, as well as aiding balance.
- [ ] They stop us getting into bad physical habits.
- [ ] They help hearts, breathing and speech.
- [ ] They are also great fun and give the members friendship and support.

What happens at a class ? 💃🏻🕺🏻

The small group class is led by James, a qualified Sports Therapist, who has experience with running Parkinson’s mobility classes in Christchurch also. He’ll teach you a range of exercises which are tailored to promote strength, coordination and balance.

The class utilises activities such as dancing, memory/recall activities and hand-eye coordination movements.
