April is Stress Awareness Month — and there's never been a better time to check in with yourself. 💛

A Thought for Mothering Sunday. 🩷 Today is full of celebration for many, but it can feel very different for others. Some are grieving, some are waiting, some are healing, some are doing things differently, and some are carrying memories that sit a little heavier on days like this.
If Mothering Sunday feels complicated, quiet, or tender for you, your experience is valid and I know how you feel. There is strength in the way you keep going, even when the day doesn’t look the way you hoped or the way you might have expected it to be.

It just feels like one thing after another during this decade! First it was the Covid-19 pandemic, then it was the invasion of Ukraine, now it’s the war in the Middle East and the energy crisis. All of these awful events make our lives more challenging, raise the cost of living and create a feeling of uncertainty and insecurity. Yet, here in the UK we are fortunate not be directly involved in the daily struggles that war brings to so many people around the world, so I count my blessings and feel grateful for all that I have. 🙏🏼

Engaging in a daily gratitude practice can help to improve your mood and emotional resilience. You can cultivate happiness for yourself and improve your well-being when you develop the habit of acknowledging and appreciating what has been good each day, not the just the big things, but all the small things that have lifted your spirit.

I can… I will… Four simple words that can change a person’s mind-set. My work as a solution focused hypnotherapist is about helping my clients to change their thinking – not in some magical, unrealistic way and not with the expectation that this can happen overnight or without support. Positive thinking is not a panacea for all ills, but I know that when we focus on the negative things in our lives that is what expands in our minds. It takes self-discipline and effort to focus our minds on the positive aspects of living, especially when we are feeling low or have become locked into a habit of negative thinking. My role is to support you with that process by helping you understand how your mind works and to tap into your inner resources.

How To Use My Affirmations 🌟
Positive affirmations are a useful self-help tool to help you reframe and change your way of thinking. I have been using them with clients since I started my work as a hypnotherapist eleven years ago. You could write an affirmation down on your notebook or in your diary, you could take a screenshot of it and save it as a wallpaper on your phone, or you could write it on a Post-it and place it somewhere easily visible.

I don’t know about you but the sight of my daffodils in full bloom, the (occasional!) warmth of the sun on my skin and lengthening days always lifts my spirits and puts me a good mood. There’s a real feeling of springtime in the air and certainly in my garden where all the new shoots and buds are busting into life.

I hope you can make the most of this lovely weather this weekend and engage in some self-care activities, go outdoors and connect with nature. Connecting with nature is great for our mental health because it helps our brain to produce lots of feel-good brain chemicals such as serotonin, dopamine and endorphins especially when combined with any form of exercise or physical activity. Connecting with nature is my “go to” way to relax and deal with any feelings of stress, anxiety or overwhelm. 🌿🪻

Today is Emotional Health Day and a good day to consider what you can do to improve your emotional intelligence and your emotional health, as well that of those who are close to you.

In my work as a volunteer counsellor I observe how the difficulties and challenges of modern life leave many people struggling with emotional issues so I wonder if you could pause for a moment and check in with yourself and your emotional state. Perhaps you could ask yourself, “What does emotional health mean to me?”

✅ What calms you and helps you to feel okay?
✅ Who are the people around you whose company uplifts you?
✅ How can you nurture your personal relationships?
✅ Is there anything in your life that you need to release for the sake of your emotional wellbeing?
✅ How can you engage in self-care because this is essential for emotional health?

When I ask my client, “What’s been good this week?”, and the answer is overwhelmingly positive! Working with me as your hypnotherapist, there may be tears but there can be smiles and laughter too! I will listen to you intently and empathically to learn about your problems and how they are affecting you. Yet, during therapy you will learn how to take control of your thoughts and feelings and there can be some magical, or as we solution focused hypnotherapists call them, “sparkling moments.” ✨

These are moments of joy, of insight and self-realisation that can be immensely empowering and truly inspirational for me to witness. Smiles, laughter and a sense of humour go a long way toward healing. 💜

Yesterday was Random Acts of Kindness Day but we can kind on any day, can't we? Kindness is a wonderful thing because not only does the recipient benefit, but the giver too. When we show kindness to others it lifts our mood and makes us feel better within ourselves. Our brain is flooded with lots of feel-good neurotransmitters, because as human beings our brains are designed to ensure we look after each other. Isn’t that amazing!

When we are kind toward others it’s contagious. It creates a warm feeling that spreads outwards towards those around us. Let’s acknowledge the small everyday random acts of kindness that mean so much and let’s start by being kind towards ourselves. 🩷🌸

Our Story

Hello, I’m Tracy and I am passionate about helping people cope with stress, anxiety and feelings of overwhelm. I also love to help people achieve their personal goals, develop their self-confidence, self-belief and self-esteem.

I have been on my own healing journey through some extraordinarily difficult and challenging times in the past. My life experiences enable me to help many people from a place of kindness and compassion.

Over the past five years, since I qualified as a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Mindfulness teacher, I have helped numerous people. It’s truly wonderful to be a part of a person’s healing journey helping them to lead a calmer, happier and more fulfilling life.

My multi-disciplinary approach is caring, empathic and non-judgemental. I draw upon my training in hypnotherapy, mindfulness, counselling and psychotherapy to provide my clients with a professional service that is tailored to their individual needs.
