The Potteries in Broadstone, Poole, is a purpose-built care home aimed towards a luxury lifestyle. The team provides expert residential, dementia and nursing care for short-term respite and permanent residents. A short drive from the seaside, residents can enjoy an array of superb facilities at the home, including a coffee shop, cinema and hair and beauty salon. The team at The Potteries gets to know each resident so they can provide the best possible person-centred care. They learn their life histories, likes and dislikes, and put together care and lifestyle plans that are tailored to their unique needs and interests. These support residents to live fun and fulfilling lives at The Potteries.

What a fun day of fundraising, and a fantastic effort from staff and residents 💛

Our action packed day included :

A delicious bake sale

A 25 star jump challenge

A 25 items to sell challenge
And of course a colorful and fun dress down day.

We raised a total of £63.51, so a big thank you to everyone who donated.

All wrapped up and off we went to The Festival of Light at Longleat, which proved to be a truly magical evening.

Despite the challenging weather conditions, we made the most of the experience, even venturing into the Bat Cave where we encountered a rather large sloth at the end. This particular sighting brought considerable delight to the residents.

A beautiful and respectful tribute for Remembrance Day. It perfectly balances solemn reflection with community support.

Honoring and Remembering Together.

Today, The Potteries held a deeply moving service to honor the fallen and remember the sacrifices made for our freedom.

We were honored to welcome Broadstone Baptist Church to lead a touching and poignant service, bringing comfort and reflection to our residents.

Following the service, we moved into our garden for a quiet moment of reflection, laying wreaths to pay our respects to the brave individuals who served.

To conclude our time together, we gathered in the café for comforting cake and conversation finding strength and connection in each other's company.

The residents loved exploring this incredible vehicle, which serves as a moving memorial to the bravery of our service members. It was a wonderful way to spark conversation and ensure those vital memories and stories are shared.

Another memorable and busy day at The Potteries where the residents were transported back in time thanks to Lori and Paul from Yeatmans of Parkstone with a magical visit from a beautiful magical organ. The nostalgia and wonderful sounds filled the air and brought back wonderdul memories.
