The weather is warming up, the sun is coming out! We made the most of a trip into Broadstone this morning, sitting and having coffee whilst others browsed (and shopped) in M&S!

🥞 Pancake Day fun at Burwood! Our residents mixed, flipped and savoured delicious pancakes before taking part in our annual staff and residents pancake race! Let’s just say… most of the pancakes didn’t quite make it to the finish line! 😄👏

Getting a 'slice' of the action! A great afternoon celebrating national pizza day making our own pizza's, everyone was very impressed with the finished product and enjoyed a slice or two! 🍕

Many thanks as always to Creature Teachers for visiting us last week, plenty of bravery and curious questions from all! Whether it was feeling the cool scales of a snake or the soft feathers of an owl, the smiles on everyone's faces said it all!

Dear Friends and family 🤍,

On 17th April 2026, one of our lovely colleagues will be taking part in a sunset beach walk of 8 km in support of Forest Holme Hospice🌅.

Sadly, last year we lost our beautiful and much-loved colleague Amy. She is missed beyond words every single day. This walk is being done in her memory, with love, to honour her life and to give back to the hospice that cared for her with such compassion during her final moments.

If you would like to support this walk, donations can be left at reception in our home. Every contribution, no matter how small, means so much and helps keep Amy’s memory alive.

This weeks afternoon baking was a fruit cake; an excellent group effort, sparking stories and sharing smiles!

A great day out earlier this week to Bovington Tank Museum!

We spent the day exploring 100 years of history, from World War I to the present day.
There’s nothing quite like seeing these incredible machines up close to spark a lifetime of memories.
A huge thank you to the wonderful staff at the museum for making us feel so welcome and answering all our questions!
We finished the day with plenty of smiles and even more stories to tell!

Thanks to its journey so far, it has helped raise an incredible amount for Cancer Research UK and a massive Thank you to everyone who supported this fundraiser in any way — your kindness truly makes a difference. 💜 🎁 🎄

The cake that keeps on giving!
£300 raised for Cancer Research, £602 for Pancreatic Cancer UK, and the generous person who won it has asked for it to be donated again.
Burwood & Yaffle Care in Broadstone looked after my Godmother several years ago, so today they took it off my hands!
